GalaxyStar, 07 Aug 2019but what a child doesn't know is that the pixel size matter... moreForget your old concept. Now a days pixel size does not matter more but sensor size and aperture size obviously. my iPhone 5s has 1.50 micron pixel size..but 5s captures worse ever photo even in daylight. But OnePlus 6T which has 1.22 Micron pixel size gives me great photo even in low light. So, sensor Size, Aperture Size and Sensor making technology matter more than Pixel size.

Dazzler, 07 Aug 2019Nope. Current P30 & Mate 20 40mp mode is 1.0 um. Pixel ... moreWhy would they have a similar sized sensor with same resolution but smaller pixels??

Is it you Pro, 07 Aug 2019Say whatever you can but a night should be a daylight looki... moreYeah proper balanced lighting without blown out highlights which would result in complete loss of parts of the image...are just gimmicks.

Everywhere Sony fails is a gimmick. Exposure, white balance, her, focus, ois, exposure shifting...to say a few.. all gimmicks...not things that actually help capture the image or video better...no not at all.

But they tend to be less saturated. So therefore that's all that matters.

Anonymous, 06 Aug 2019A night is not a day. But you are a fanboy Say whatever you can but a night should be a daylight looking? Then a day should be exclude any of the shadow and highlights? Highest Dynamic? I am not a fans of these gimmicks.

                  Anonymous, 06 Aug 2019How? Their previous 40mp sensors had 1.4umNope. Current P30 & Mate 20 40mp mode is 1.0 um. Pixel binned in 10mp becomes 2.0um.

So if this new sensor 1.15 um in 40mp, it should be 2.30 um in 10mp mod.

Ethan, 06 Aug 2019I don't know about the speakers, but if it's the processor ... moreYeah, I know the Mate 20 Pro have stereo speakers but then the notch is more distracting than the P30 Pro.
I have my reasons for preferring Snapdragon over Kirin, I know the difference is unnoticeable in day-to-day use.

P30 Pro goes easier on sharpening and retains significantly more details when using Night Mode than Mate 20 Pro. Mate, however, captures more accurate colors, shows less artefacts and the dynamic range is naturally wider.

When you pixel peep, you realized that it looks more like an artist painting rather than a real photo. That is my biggest gripe with Huawei's post-processing image.

P.S Someone shared a Czechian review of the Mate 20 Pro via Reddit. I have looked at the photo gallery, and I was just aghast by the sheer output of the image when pixel peep. It's just... SO WRONG! Here's the review link btw: https://digineff.cz/huawei-mate20-pro/
