what's impressive about that? an over-processed blown up image with a lot of noise, artifacts and close to zero details

The low-light / night shots are where the action is. Let's wait for those.

Although with an insane amount of details, the photos still have that muddy/leaky watercolor look you complained in the Nubia Red Magic 3's review. Yes, that camera was far less optimized, but, at the same time, it presents the same issue as this one.
Way too aggressive denoise algorythm, imo.
I'd rather have a bit more noise instead.

It look like is interlpolated pictures. Really bad quallity.

Unbelievably bad processing. Mayne lower 16MP photos will be (much) better. Realme needs camera engineers. Very disappointing.

The cropped 64MP picture looks like it was upscaled using Waifu2x with those weird curves and artifacts in the trees. Its probably normal but IDK

If they want they could produce one of the best mobile till date with all specs on top notch like a 48mp sony sensor with their night sight , 1 tb storage, 8-12 gigs of ram, 5000 mh battery, dual active sim, telephoto, wide, macro camera with tof sensor. etc it could be one of the best mobile to date

It does downsampling, same thing Xperia Z phones did later.

8MP downsampled from 41MP means details of a 41MP photo but file has size of 8MP photo.

Folks, look at the metadata of the first picture with the stadium. Date taken: 4.1.2019, Program name: Adobe Photoshop CC 2019. So: edited picture, they are just making a BIG hype...I wanna see real-life samples and comparisons to other phones!

Anonymous, 08 Aug 2019"Looks great imo. Why can't Google, Samsung and Apple have ... morethe higher the pixel count better will be the pixel binning result, larger micron pixel, better low light images there are tone of advantages. remember nokia 808 pureview. first of its kind, nokia has started all this back in 2012 when others have 8mp cameras nokia invented 41 mp and used pixel binning that results in the best camera till date. so companies has to push their limits, sticking with 12-16 mp camera won't help in innovation, better focus on larger sensor, higher mp count & better lenses. like leica, zeiss etc. now don't ask me to buy a DSLR instead, because everybody wants to click best images with the luxury of carrying a compact mobile rather a dslr. best moments of life are spontaneous which can only be captured by a mobile in most cases..thanks
