What's the point? no-one can see the difference. These huge photos are heavier to edit, takes more time to take etc. What are the benefits?

Maybe others just don't see point of having this?

Apple will have new camera system this year, we don't know what they are going to do with that, but soon we will.

      I don't know if those samples have been edited in post or not but they look quite terrible.

        Samples always look great so I'll hold my judgement till reviews

          Far too much processing going on - heavily over-sharpened.

            It is really something..
            The technology is still developing...
            If they add a cmos sensor in 64 megapixels camera then it would be the best camera phone in smartphone history...
            And everyone will be eager to buy it...

              This is one heck of a wet painting!
              The real resolution is about 2MP at best.....

                Apple will eventually get there in a year or two.

                        This phone better sport a 730 or 730G. For a picture this good looking, needs some high powered processor to do that.

                          46 MB for 64 mp picture.. hell lot of processing power required..
