Weekly poll: is the Samsung Galaxy Note10 duo a hit or a miss?

11 August 2019
Some of the changes Samsung made remind us of the the Galaxy S6 redesign - taking features away is never a popular decision.

I preordered the Note 10+ and I'm paying $460 for that, Galaxy Buds, a wireless charger, and a car charger. I don't think thats a bad deal.

AverageUser, 11 Aug 2019If you really knew what's Huawei selling you, and how well ... moreSo you never had a Samsung die on you suddenly because they used bad mmc chips for a few years?
I've had an S3 which died after 6 months, its replacement died within a year, also a tab 4 10.1 (US version, got it as a present) which is still pending the arrival of an mmc because it died a month after warranty period, so no replacement this time, and yes, Samsung services in my country are bad.. let's see how many years pass till I get that mmc.

So I wouldn't be surprised to find out that Samsung is still going cheap on parts.

In old days, getting a galaxy note meant that you'd get a device that doesn't hold back on anything.

I'd understand the removal of the headphone jack, but going low on the screen resolution and features with no SD card support makes the new note line feel like note 10 and note 10 lite rather than a plus and a regular.

Also going cheap on chargers is something Apple does. Seems like Samsung is learning from the wrong people.

It would be a great moment to add a Pen to the Mate 30X together with the audio jack and expandable memory! I hope that the Mate 30 still retain the audio jack and FM Radio and expandable memory too. That together with the underdisplay fingerprint sensor and the vanilla 30 or the 30X will be mine. In few days we will see what they offer.

Note 10 series is like Note5 where Samsung removed many things users consider important like jack and SD card personally I care about neither, I'm good with USB C headphones and 256GB base storage is more than enough for me but I think vanilla Note 10 couldve been an interesting phone if it started at $750 or $800, at the time S10+ and S10 are heavily discounted and Note 10 is alot like S10e with a few upgrades unlike past years this years Note seems abit downgrade imo Note10+ should have atleast used 5x periscope camera or atleast something upgrade over S10+

Last Note I purchased was the 4. Since then it's been down hill from there. Just an S model with a pen. Sammy tried this downgrade with the Note 5 and everyone hated it. I don't see the Note 10s selling very well. If I were looking for a Note I would definitely purchase a Note 9.

It was also Apple who had 7nm chipset first, also 3D face ID aswell.
To make things even worse, the S10e has better video quality and stabilization even than P50 pro.
About super fast charging - who even needs it? Let's be real, it only kills your battery faster. I never really use it since even standard charging is fast enough

Xiaomi has flagship phones without the headphone jack.
Also Oppo, OnePlus and even Google - they all removed the headphone jack.

Samsung is at least considerate enough to give you USB-C ported AKG headphones in the box.
Also there's tons of people saying they haven't looked back since goig bluetooth. And main feature of the Note series has always been the S-pen, not the headphone jack.

I don't like the fact that they removed the jack, but I also don't see it as that much of an issue.

[deleted post]If you really knew what's Huawei selling you, and how well their chipsets actually perform (they are thermally throttled like crazy, even on pro models and heat is unevenly distributed on the device unlike with Samsung) - you'd never buy them.
Huawei only has good phones for taking photos.
                            Gaming - not so much.
Video quality - Samsung blows them away.
UI - trying to be like iOS (saying this as former iPhone user)
And not as many features like with samsung plus questionable built quality...

[deleted post]Well... i would say Xiaomi is the one who does not care about profit margins... they desperately makes cheap phones.

My Note9 from Canada got the features. I see that the update is ready to be released for your model with an updated CSC compared to the China release. The update you got was just a security patch. Except version N9600ZHU3CSG7 coming soon. Well I say soon but I don't know when. Just rest assured you will get it with the next update

Why there is no option in both polls "I simply don't like it"?
