Yes Samsung makes money from Huawei for selling components but Samsung was making phones long before Huawei even were making any decent phones.
Huawei will need Samsung (who else they meant to steal tech from) :D

Bro, you are making assumptions of the prices, and then again, Samsung is always bringing new technologies to these phones and their products, they spent billions on research and development, their hardware are good. How do you want them to profit if they do all that and sell the phone as any cheap copy... Do we see Xiaomi or Huawei developing as much tech?
I know you own many cellphone stores, that's exactly why I don't understand how you can't tell the difference between a Samsung premium phone against other brand flagship just by holding it in your hand.

We need 10,000 full recharge cycles. No more of this 500 stuff. And the battery doesn't degrade even if it ages. We could use our products forever but these OEMs would go out of business because their motive is to keep on selling.

First of all that wasn't a new battery technology. It read simply a design flaw in the battery removing too many layers in it to make it thin. And the second round was simply because it was manufactured poorly to meet demand by the company that picked up the order.
Second these will have higher capacities not lower. And it's because that's how the tech works. Not because they are being unsafe. In fact these batteries are safer.
Third samsung has some of the safest battery standards around now.

The whole point of looking into these advanced technologies was to solve the issue of battery capacity (or in other words; low-energy density). Looking at the internal's of devices like the ASUS RoG, Samsung Note9 and Samsung S10e, I see there's more than enough space allocated for phone's features, and an ample amount made for the battery.
With that said, you're probably right.
Samsung would be stupid enough to throw that innovation in the bin. And use it to slightly reduce weight (not an issue) and to make their phones even thinner, which leads to durability concerns. And probably adding extra camera modules which would make the camera experience worse (a single great camera, better than, multiple good cameras).

Which is awesome. Nearly double like you said. However samsung and most others would unfortunately use it to have devices thinner and you might only get like a 10 to 20% higher capacity battery. And more camera bump while also still retaining smaller sensors....

No Samsung fan but this technology is brilliant. When mass produced, these batteries could early be double the life or more than existing lithium. Imagine the same size battery as now but made of graphene. Such awesomeness. Bring it on.
