S Yu, 25 Aug 2019"do i feel cheated? Not at all."
You should. If you don't ... moreOh gosh, another one. I got all the answers of the so called 'Huawei' lied as per mention (Gpu Turbo, Moon Mode), as i'm a Huawei user, knows exactly whats the meaning from their claim, except for the DSLR faking issue. Every company does it boy, its a matter being caught or not. Thats pure evil marketing, as usual.
But do i need to explain details about it? Its a waste of time for blind fanboys like u. I just wanna give my conclusion.
U accused about Gpu Turbo, but have u experience it? I definitely got the difference in gaming before and after the patch on my older device, by a lot (newer phones built-in). And i fully understands how they does it, but again, waste my time explaining it to a guy like u.
U accused about fake Moon Mode, but have u experiment it yourself? I myself & bunch of professional photographers on youtube already prove it its the real deal (no additional texture/photos applied). Go research about it yourself. Just because one guy making a bust calling it fake, and that news came towards your hated brand, suddenly u agree with it without experienced it first? So yeah thats an usual double standard from usual blind fanboy. So again, wasting my time explaining it to a guy like u.

You should. If you don't feel cheated it's because you're negligent. That's your problem.
When Huawei announced their so-called GPU Turbo they claimed 60% increase in performance. Nobody in the industry, *nobody*, including those such as Anandtech with much more professional expertise in semiconductors than the likes of Richard Yu , had the faintest idea how it was done. Months later the technology finally debuted in a handset, only this time there was an asterisk on the slide with GPU Turbo, with an annotation on the final slide: "compared to Kirin 960". So for months they kept everybody under the lie that GPU Turbo would bring a 60% increase in performance while in the end it was a meager improvement in the single digits and the remaining 50+% was due to TSMC's process improvement and ARM's better cores. There's no limit to how low they stoop for hype and publicity.
You claim Samsung's done the same, you have the burden of proof. Show me when Samsung's done the same.
P30P's "moon shooting" "50x" zoom was widely advertised around the time of launch. That "moon shooting" was later exposed to be replacing the actual shot with previously stored texture, shot using who-knows-what.
You claim Samsung's done the same, you have the burden of proof. Show me when Samsung's done the same.
Huawei was caught with the most times faking DSLR shots as their own, Samsung was caught a few times also but they always apologized, Huawei NEVER apologized for ANY of its lies, so not only are they known habitual liars, they're shameless liars. Among the habitual liars they're the most shameless, among the shameless liars they lie the most often.

Only the components of iphone Xs Max cost more the the retail price of Mi9.
Which means Mi9 costs way less than iphone to be made.

These type of fanboyism over brand type is too much over the top. Its getting kind of annoying. You've been mistakenly made wrong assumption about Huawei on numerous post, but when people said the the right things, u ignore the answer. If the cons u mention are right, i'll agree.

Huawei shamelessly lied to the world and also their own customers. Enough for me to never trust anything they claim without solid evidence and never buy any of their products either.
I can't check if they really spy on people, but since lots of governments believes they do... I'll rather believe them than risk trusting to Huawei because they are known liars and serve CCP as well...

realitychecker, 25 Aug 2019Buddy, I really dont care what you think of China. We have ... moreIt was both a protectionist and a national security reason.
Had it only been protectionist, all Chinese brands would have been blocked in the US. Huawei is a shady company with too deep ties to an autocratic dictator. That's the primary reason they got banned. It didn't help that security firms found odd security concerns in almost everything Huawei sold.
Personally, I'll never but anything from Huawei, just like I'll never buy tech from Google, Facebook or Apple.

National Security is one of the exceptions that can be used
Remember Mike Pompeo during his world tour saying to National Governments you buy Huawei and we stop sharing security intelligence with you.
Now every U.S Cell phone Networ, Qualcomm and many international companies has stated to Trump ( quick joke who will be around in 2021 President Huawei ( not their real name) or ex President one term only donald trump?
Remember he said trade wars are easy to win
So now another 90 day extension
O.k down $10Bn but here is the thing you don't take the offspring "child" hostage in order to get the deal you want
Involving Huawei only made China more determined not to deal, we now know the Huawei "security" was bogus
Apple previously got an exemption now it doesn't, IDK if this is for all items ir just the latest tranche
I personally research the handset before committing, e.g I will never ever buy a phone without memory expansion whether it be a Huawei, Samsung, Xiaomi.
People always "blame" Android in low resale value whilst Apple is lossless
First research your handset and don't expect it to retain value, that can only happen if stocks are limited.
I know its a Huawei article, Huawei make money essentially having less of a markup than others yes Xiaomi and others
The segue is queuing days before an Apple iPhone launch, ( hold on no shortage then)
iPhones ever increasing handset price is not sustainable history has examples of why this will end soon???
The unknown is the iPhone 11 only being a 4G handset in a 5G world,
$10 billion may be a fraction of the loss in sales for Apple, 2019 is Apples minor tweak to handset specs
Me I rather buy a 5G Huawei with no memory expansion, than a 4G iPhone 11 if they were priced the same!!!

I think it is not only about US ban. You can't forget that Huawei is intercepting messages, etc. from Zambian and Ugandan people and give them to their governments.
I personally never ever gonna any huawei device not because of US ban but because I Don't want support huawei with spying on people.
