      17 days away from launch, Google already says they can't allow Huawei to preload Google Play Services. And looking at the current escalation of the "trade war", I'm not counting on a settlement to arrive before the launch.

      Wouldn't be such a big problem if they unlocked the bootloader so that one could flash the Play Services directly or better, root and install Open gApps, which is much better than the Play Services blob.

                    It doesn't matter if it's released, with no play services, Google's Security updates, locked bootloaders, forbidden to root, unable to oust all the crap, banned from deleting all bloatware, barred from ripping out all malware and unauthorized to obliterate all the spyware inside?

                          It may not come with google apps pre-installed due to the ban, but Android is open-source & no-one can stop Huawei from using it on their phones.

                            Huawei keeps raising the bar when it comes to the camera & battery. They're truly at the top of their game these days. Can't wait to find out what they've done this time around.

                                Anonymous, 02 Sep 2019It's going to be barebones android without google apps. It takes less than 5 minutes to install all the spyware- I mean google apps on any phone.

                                So don't worry, even if it doesn't come with gapps, anyone could still install them manually very easily. Although there might be a settlement by the time of release & it might come pre-installed with them anyway.
