So an iPad pro is just a little bit faster than an i3 processor, that sounds about right, but why did everyone say it's faster than 90% of all computers?

Why increase the memory footprint? The whole benchmark ultimately yields two scores, single core and multi core, how much influence does memory have over either of these? This obfuscates the implications of the results.
As usual, we won't be getting any in-depth decipherment of the two scores from any site but Anandtech.

It was the successor to the 32 bit A15 "Big" core. Very inefficient. Notorious for its usage in the Tegra X1, the Exynos 7420 Octa and... the SD810.

What you want is Cortex A55 cores and Cortex M35P coprocessor cores fabricated on 12nm, 10nm, 8nm or 7nm processes.

And 10nm. Because 28nm is ridiculous in a smartwatch. Because the W3100 is still the W2100 which is still the SD210 from 2014 which was built on a 28nm node.
