Since when a "small" phone has a 6.1 inch screen?
My Xperia Mini pro was 3 inch and 92mm tall... including an keyboard.

The S10e was the one belo... moreplease, it is not 120Hz refresh rate as sony itself has admitted, it merely is 60Hz and display experts who tried to tweak the refresh rate on these sony phones claiming to have 120Hz in developer options, it only can handle up to 70Hz as any other 60Hz screen can.

There is a Sony - a great Japanese company producing amazing products beloved all around the world. And there is Sony mobile division which makes crappy phones from year to year. It's certainly on the way out for quite a while. It just refuse to die fast but rather prefer slow and painful self-destruction. People become quite confused, disappointed and simply can't understand how Sony can make such sub-bar smartphones with high price tag. This is out of Sony character. These people are your so-called haters, mate. And Sony have mastered the skill of breeding and accumulating them :). Xperia 2 will be no different - the same ridiculous thing in smaller form-factor. Feel sorry for Sony.

Jimbob, 03 Sep 20196.1" this aint no compact phone. its ginormous.... many peo... moreyou need to take into account the aspect ratio. a 6.1" screen in 21:9 ratio would be equivalent of having a 4.9" screen if it was in 16:9 ratio. As a comparison, the old compacts had 4.6" screens at 16:9 ratio (increased to 5.0" on the latest compact but that was on 18:9 ratio which basically kept the same width as the old compacts).
So overall, its not a big phone.

Is that a joke? If it is, it's a pretty bad one. 6.1 inches "In the palm of your hand", maybe if you're an ogre with a shovel-sized hands. Sony's smartphone division is getting deader every second, the only thing that maybe could halt it would be introducing either something that hasn't been here before, or something we've haven't seen in a while. You know, like an actual compact smartphone, with a sub-5-inch screen.
I literally bought the iPhone SE three days ago and it's the most perfect phone size I've ever held in my hands. Not too big, not too small. Four inches is perfect. I just miss Android. Too bad there isn't any 4 inch Android smartphone

why the obsession with 4K display Sony?! just why?! Majority of phone user use 1080p and 1440p is more than sharp enough.
Just like Samsung's obsession with curve screen. It's near to useless yet company still push these features just to ''stand out'' from the crowd. Sign. Get the basics right first please! Where is the obsession with long term hardware/software support, where is the obsession with long battery life with heavy usage?

The S10e was the one below $800. It was $750.
The most expensive part of a cellphone is the screen.
4K /120Hz / BT2020/ Quantum dots/0.8 delta vs QHD/ 60Hz/DCI-P3 / 1.5 delta
So looks like Samsung Display has sold a more expensive and better screen to Sony. Not counting the fact in-house stuff is cheaper. Sony only has the main camera and battery while Samsung has cpu, battery, sensors, ram, and storage.

Skip the 4k resolution! Unless you put 6500 mah battery in the phone! Triple camera is kind of also useless. But hopefully it have the power of a flagship, like the compact models did. And the old Oneplus price. Then it would be the perfect phone.

Sony Xperia is everything good but one thing is extremely good for eyes that is oled display not affected ur eyes other than like amoled and ips lcd
