I follow some professional photographers who uses Xperia 1 and Nokia 9 Pureview and the results are stunning. Professional photographers make these underrated camera phones perform like professional cameras.

Bought one one of these in March from Argos in the UK in n March with the free ear buds offer. The phone is basically a pile of shite, the fingerprint sensor was completely unusable for most of the time and even after various updates never worked. Was looking for something to replace my LG G4 and this thing never came close in the camera dept. In the end it was replaced for a OP 6 which is miles better, I never got the "free ear buds" which was basically a scam from HMD or Nokia or Argos who cares. Stay clear of this piece of crap, Will never buy anything from HMD or Nokia or whoever they are, should of reported them all to trading standards for fraud., It is that bad a product.

U12+ uses HDR+ from google. Probably part of their deal.
Pixel 3 without zoom got same score of U12+.
Pixel 3 have weaker DR than Pixel 2.
Iphone Xr got much higher scoremthan X, despite not having same zoom amd bokeh score.

The weird part is the fact brands like Motorola, Sony, HMD and LG reviews have samples with worse quality than photos taken by other sites.
They say they take near 1000 photos, but they seem to pick the worse for few brands.
How can a phone from 2019 have worse samples than phone from 2016 that belongs to same brand?

Because this phone is mostly about top output for bokeh and raw stills. It's just that sw is poor in other fields. But even for jpegs, I would say they ate one of the best.
Depends on what you compare, dxo is comparing overal score.

All major websites and reviewers accept bribes and DXO mark is known to be biased to those who pay. Nokia did pay a lot of money to early "professional " reviewers to give it some early good reviews. But the painful truth is : The Nokia 9 camera actually sucks
I got a chance to play with a store demo here in Kuwait and played around with the camera for a little while. The time is takes to simply snap a photo It is painfully slow , I mean its as slow as phones from 2010. I think it took like 3 seconds to process a photo !!! And the quality is average at best. If someone is considering buying it for the camera, I recommend that you spend your money elsewhere.
I was rather disappointed by the Nokia 9. My recommendation is for them to ease of the marketing bullsh*t and focus on the basics.

DxO isn't known for accurate reviews. GSMA did far better in their review of the 9 pureview. However, keep in mind that DxO have a point system. So, while a phone could perform well in real life situations, they have to give it points, a bit subjective if you ask me, but still, they have to rate them somehow.
check all of their shots and you'd find that most are good, if not great. So in the end, you can decide by viewing their photos. There are also many sites that provide camera samples, and you could always visit Flickr to get some more.

Why are you surprised over that? Nokia limit their camera! They never learned from the Nokia 8 mistake. And that's why I'll never recommend nokia, as a camera phone. Remove the limitations, like the real Nokia did on the old n8. Because it made the phone able to use the cameras full potential and power.

Guys before your speculation this russian community have already provided news about dxo mark that they will post review tomorrow and they have also asked HMD Global for a fund and hmd have refused to give them so as the result
