PartTimePhoner, 15 Oct 2019Uh, thats because its America. People buy iphone because it... moreLol, that's funny. I enjoy reading your assumptions about me. I've been to cities in the south and both sides of the coast and again, most of the people I've encountered use iPhones. I've also been to places like South Asia and obviously because of the inflated prices of Apple products and low income levels they simple aren't able to afford anything other than low-end or mid-range Chinese Android smartphones.

Anonymous, 15 Oct 2019Yeah, I'd rather have better battery life instead.Battery life depends on you a lot too npt just display

PartTimePhoner, 15 Oct 2019You are talking like America is a weirdly rich country and ... moreAgain, coming down to costs. You feel that paying 1k should bring you more storage. I feel that paying $450 or more (that's what I paid for my X) should work in a manner that doesn't require me to tweak or fiddle with it. I just need it to work 100% of the time and connect, sync, and use content across all my other Apple devices.

Same if I get a sports Mercedes, I won't complain that it doesn't come with an overhead booth, trailer coupling, or biggest gas tank.

PartTimePhoner, 15 Oct 2019Still better than having a plain 60Hz displayYeah, I'd rather have better battery life instead.

Anonymous, 15 Oct 2019That has most to do with how developed the city/country is.... moreWell I mean y'all are willingly giving your personal info to the whole world on facebook or insta like whats new?

(Also you are a lot cooler of a dude than I thought you are. Thumbs up for the calm argument that makes sense instead of calling each other names like 11 y/o 's)

Anonymous, 15 Oct 2019You forgot to read "Smarter" Rich friends. Smarter people, like people with busy professional lives, use iPhones. They need a device that will work all the time no matter what situation they're in. They're also more likely to spend way more money on apps and services, which is also how Apple makes a lot of their money. Android users are mostly geeks and nerds that like to fiddle around with their gadgets because they have plenty of time to spare.

geek-a-contra, 15 Oct 2019fluidness in browsing internet and dialling a phone number ... moreThats what my point was SE 2 aint a "gamer phone" not with a 4'7" display or a 60Hz LCD display

Anonymous, 15 Oct 2019That has most to do with how developed the city/country is.... moreYou are talking like America is a weirdly rich country and every american lives on mars. You do know that Androids have smartphones that cost the same with iphones right? Seen lots of friends with both S10+ and XR devices everywhere and they cost the same here.

People also go for Android because of various reasons not just money (cant stress this enough but they cost the same) like you know.... not gonna pay a device 1000 bucks for 64GB storage only. You dont get the same amount of customization on iphones which I think is a letdown and.... that UI aint suitable for everyone. UI is a really important element for smartphones and in my opinion OneUI is the best one out there.

For the same money you can get a 64GB Iphone 11 pro max or a 256GB Note10+ and you will have OTG support and you can get an SDcard to double or even triple your storage. And no online storage isnt the way to go Im not gonna connect to internet and waste 8MB just to show you a picture I took yesterday.

Best performance? Well I mean yeah but it only starts making a difference if you plan on keeping the device for more than 3 years. You already get flawless smooth experience on androids too this aint 2013 no more and here is another catch: your average iphone user doesnt do much, playing Temple run kinda games at max but most are instagram worms. Your average consumer buy them for the attention not performance.

I mean yeah if you dont really know how to use a phone amd what not to download iphone is better but still if you know how to handle a phone you wont have any problems with your phone at all. Try not downloading everything you see is a great advice

PartTimePhoner, 15 Oct 2019Uh, thats because its America. People buy iphone because it... moreThat has most to do with how developed the city/country is. So in underdeveloped countries, people still go for the cheapest possible option and the best bang for their buck. That's also related to the "freedon" android offers, in that it allows them to play music/videos without copyright protection, they can use cracked apps/games thus avoid paying for them, and they work with the free stuff google offers, like gdrive, gdocs, etc.

And the more wealthy, in more developed countries, who are used to pay for everything they use, have no problem going clean with music listening, movie watching, apps, games, etc. and they will pay for all those without a second thought. They do not care about torrents, file managers that can browse system and app folder installs. They just need it to work flawlessly, no hiccups, all the time, all of the time. And integrate with other Apple products seamlessly. While also offering the best security and best performance.

This is also a reason why Apple users spend more on apps and content - they understand that artists, actors, directors and staff need to be paid, developers and designers need to be paid as well, and so they are fine with paying for content, apps, and games. Whereas most android users will gladly send their personal data to google (and others) in order to avoid paying even $1 for an app.

PartTimePhoner, 15 Oct 2019Gives a better feeling of fluidness and also "not every app... morefluidness in browsing internet and dialling a phone number on a 5 incher? if you play really fast games or watch action movies on a much larger display, ok, I can agree, but for most of the regular users is overkill, extra price, extra battery drain and all together extra stupid... they invented the "gamer phones", you know? +100hz...

PartTimePhoner, 15 Oct 2019Cheap: gr8 b8 m8 gotta call anyone that owns android this e... moreI don't believe in paying more than $400-$500 for a smartphone. If I'm going to spend a grand then best believe I'm getting something way more advanced than that lol. Android smartphones are inherently more buggier than iOS smartphones simply because of the way it's built, this is based on my own personal experiences with both platforms and the opinions of experts. The Play Store is infested with so many low-quality garbage apps and malware that Google can't do anything about it even if they tried. If you don't believe me then just do a quick Google search and you'll see a new article about it almost every single day. And after all these years it's still heavily fragmented, it takes eons for Android devices to get version and security updates, and I'm not even talking about the crappy low-end and mid-range ones. I don't use mediocre smartphones, every Android smartphone that I ever owned or used had the best Snapdragon SoC at the time. The end.

geekacontra, 15 Oct 2019how and why?Gives a better feeling of fluidness and also "not every app has support for it" literally is the same with "some apps and games support it" which will be better when using. Also the dramatic animations

PartTimePhoner, 15 Oct 2019Still better than having a plain 60Hz displayhow and why?

Anonymous, 15 Oct 2019Trust me, the rich aren't buying Android smartphones lol. I... moreUh, thats because its America. People buy iphone because its an American product. But well, if you didnt go anywhere else than a single city of course you wont see much.

Its the same story with China they buy chinese phones more than anything. Samsung has around %1 of phones at max in there but they are still the best-selling smartphone brand world-wide.
