Google Pixel 4 face unlock worryingly works even when your eyes aren't open

        Pixel 4 to Pixel 3 owners is almost equivalent to what the Note10 is to Note9 owners. I think this entire year of 2019 hasn't been great with smartphones except the foldables which are still in beta / guinea pig stages.

        I did say I didn't think 2017 and 2018 were all the great either even though two of my favorite smartphones ever were released those years. And I do think the real sales for the latest phones don't hit all cylinders until a year later. People are smarter. They wait a year and it's half off.

        Again, the only compelling feature the Pixel 4 will offer is the 90 hz display and the Telephoto. That's it. Doesn't seem like an upgrade at all. A few steps forwards but several more steps back.

          so embarrassing reasons to not even consider getting this phone. google keeps making this phone a shtshow as every day goes by.

              i've never trusted face unlock, regardless of the technology used, also i didn't trust iris scanner (which thankfully samsung removed), i just trust fingerprint scanner, i use the regular sensor and the ultrasonic sensor in galaxy s10+, i don't think the optic sensor is so safe.
              Fingerprint sensor is the only biometric i use on my phone.

                SMH, I wish companies could take their time to deliver complete and finished products. Not half baked features. If you want to claim that you have the fastest face unlock in the world?, Don't do that. We expect to have the most secure one.
                It's stupid, cos the fingerprint reader was faster and even more secure, and didn't have to deal with data gathering and sh*t

                              The Pixel 4 may go down as the beginning of the end of Google as a phone maker.

                              This is a spectacular disaster, and a PR gift for rivals. Frankly the only people I can see buying this now are journalists and researchers who could genuinely justify dropping $750 on an auto-transcription device, and even they might be turned off by the security issues.

                                Another year, another half baked pixel phone...

                                  Doesnt matter, only five people are gonna buy this crap LUL
