Huawei doesn't want to replace Android, just Google Mobile Services

Seems like we won't be seeing HarmonyOS on Huawei phones soon.

Well this should be interesting, considering that there are people like me who want to get de-Googled, as in living without any of Google's ecosystem.

Anonymous, 23 Oct 2019They can't . Not they don't want . Create a os out of nothi... morenot only that, to create out an environment for app to populate is not easy. Symbian, Bada, Windows Mobile are the prefect examples why it lose out in the app competition and not solely the OS itself.

There's no reason they can't go another route like MicroG and just replace the core services like push messaging, safetynet and location services.

They can't . Not they don't want . Create a os out of nothing is difficult . China can't even create their own os for PC after 50 years.
