Not even bloke responsible for radar at ondon airport or New Yourk airport spot any differences between FHD+ and a 4K screen.
Size of a 50 inch TV will make a big difference but not a 6inch phone.
Wake up.
Haters can hate.
Aye its same like if your phone will supports 10k TB memory cards.
There are no 10K TB memory cards and i wonder if in next 10 years will be.
Its like having a support for 1000W charging speeds where in present era no charger gives more than 65W charging.
Haters dont have just because they must but for a very specific reason.
But we do understand that clumsy people would like to spend billions on a features which they cannot use.

Anonymous, 29 Oct 2019Gimmick because cheap brands cannot afford? Man you are funny.
Cheap is usual better. Look where was Xiaomi 10 years ago and where are they now.
    Look at oneplus.
Price is he most important thing in every cellphone not a expensive brand name.
Pocophone for 250 bucks sold much more units than Samsung S9 and its larger sibling and Note9 alltogether.
Reason is very simple for a very low price people got equal quality phone with a bit better benchmark score.
Same goes for present Redmi K20 and its euuropean version.
Compared to any other flagship phone.
Price is only thing that matters.
For what sake people would have 1000+ euros phone which supports 90 or 120 HZ refresh rate and a 4K screen if there is no use for that on a tiny 6 inch screen.
Most games runs at 30 HZ some at 60HZ not many and no game runs at 90 or 120.
So paying 1000 bucks for a phone with billion of features is for no use.
    Brand name means nothing,
Samsung, Sony, Apple etc. Great quality maybe.
But most people nowdays rather buy xiaomi and invest to family, opay bills or holidays or save money for worse times than buying an 1000-1500 equaly good phone compared to a 400 eur flagship which anyway in next 2 years will loose 70% of its value.

Funny there iis no game like that and in next year there will be not more than maybe 3-5 games but i hardly believe we can count more than 2 games which will supports 90 HZ not 120.
There are maybe 20-30 games i know which supports 60 HZ but thats it.
      Nothing more.

Still, I don't think you can claim that a phone has a 120Hz/144Hz panel when it's locked at 60Hz at kernel level and there's no way to change it. Like who actually cares if it doesn't work.

Whackcar, 29 Oct 2019Nah buddy. They switched to OLED for their flagships. Ea... moreSharp's new 240Hz OLED display is essentially 120Hz display with black (blank) frame inserted between each frame to give you a sense of seeing higher refresh rate panel, so it's not really a true 240Hz display anyway.

The Asus ROG 2 phone proves that if Apple is headed to 120hz, they will need mimiumn 5500 to 6000mah battery to get through a day on 120hz. No amount of CPU throttling will save an iphone if they stay in the 3500-4000mah range, unless they plan to have you charge your iphone twice every day.. lolz

Nick Tagataka, 30 Oct 2019And liars can lie... None of what you said was officially d... more" Well, here’s something interesting. The Sony Xperia XZ Premium is a 2017 flagship that is most notable for its 4K HDR display, but there’s another hidden trick up its sleeve: Its display panel actually supports a high frame rate 120Hz mode like the Razer Phone.

Rumors of this hidden screen mode have been floating around the Internet since around the time of the device’s launch, but because it requires a modification to the kernel to enable, not many users have been able to actually test it. Recently, however, we’ve been hearing that many users have started to test this hidden screen mode…and the results are pretty inconsistent, unfortunately.

For context, the Xperia XZ Premium display panel supports 3 screen modes: 1080p@60fps, 2160p@60fps, and lastly the disabled 1080p@120fps mode. This disabled high frame rate mode can be enabled by reverting this commit to the display panel configuration in the kernel source code.

It turns out that there are more Sony devices that have a hidden 120Hz display mode disabled by the kernel. XDA Recognized Developer Myself5 went digging into the source to confirm to us that the Sony Xperia X, Sony Xperia X Performance, Sony Xperia XZ, Sony Xperia XZ1, Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact, Sony Xperia XA2, and Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra all support this screen mode. Basically, any new Sony phone except for the Sony Xperia X Compact should support this mode.
