Those who chose in-display fingerprint must never have one themselves. It's cool and fancy, but reliability leaves A LOT to be desired. The speed and reliability of a regular capacitive fingerprint scanner is miles ahead of the in-display ones.

Anonymous, 04 Nov 2019Lol.. fingerprint does not work if you have no fingers. ... moreI can guarantee you there are more people having to wear things covering their faces than people lacking all 10 fingers. Worst argument EVERRRRRR.

I don't care if the fingerprint reader is in display or not. What I care about is the reliability and speed. In-display scanners are not good enough yet, so I prefer the capacitive ones. At least for now.

So face is the most flexible.

Fingerprint because face recognition doesn't work in the dark! And if you want it to work in the dark you would have to use the screen to blind the user so the camera can see....

A front mounted fingerprint reader is without a doubt the most convenient and flexible choice. Arguments about wearing gloves, glasses, hoods, masks et al. aside, fingerprints works in all environments no matter if you're holding the phone or not.

For indisplay fingerprint scanner, I don't have to raise my phone. That's why I prefer indisplay fingerprint scanner, more efficient. Face ID may look stylish but it isn't efficient, you gotta raise your phone letbsay from the table, then you have to look into it.

I prefer both but Face ID is so bloody convenient cause you can unlock your phone without having to take off your gloves in winter or when fingers are wet/dirty.

When you are required to constantly wear face mask, face id becomes more of a liability than an asset. Iris scanner would've been the best (specially if they continued developing it) but they all killed it. So i am team in-display fingerprint scanner on this one. Although its also kind of a hassle when u got your fingerprint regularly scratched, wounded or de-skinned.
