I hope they use a last year's flagship SoC like SD855 or even SD845 would be nice instead of using SD730 or SD765.
They did this with Oneplus X. I hope they do it again.
5G is irrelevant for another 2 years specially in developing markets and initial launch would not gonna be as cheap as 4G.

I suspect it will use imx686, while 8 and 8 Pro will use the 108MP Sony will announce.

ermis, 07 Dec 2019why are they continuing the bigger screen trend? really hate itI feel ya buddy. I don't mind that there are large screen phones, I understand that many people prefer it, but why are there virtually NO compact phones at all in past few years? It's a shame.
Anyway, OnePlus midranger, definitely a good idea. But I'm curious if they're going to come back to roots (making great price/performance ratio phone) or if they're going to continue with the massive advertising and sell these with a premium price tag...

I have a lot of phones each one with different versions of Android from 4.2.1 up to 10 today. And all them works perfectly today despite not having updates since many years running all without any problem like my Android 10 phones. Only two of them can't run some latest games due to their older hardware but no due to the software. All capable phones even with old Android run ALL that has compatibility.

OnePlus losing it's mind!
1) Again they went back to vertical camera layout on the 8 from the 7T.
2) 8 pro losing the pop-up camera and adding the pin hole camera taking away the full screen immersive display claim!
3) 8 Lite who really asked for this? It'll endup just like the flop dead OnePlus X and S10e
