First of all, you are coming here to compare me a commercial phone with one specifically gaming phone, which the comparison already makes it bad but in the end, we have to accept it ... but poorly compared on the other hand.

And I comment:

* Your Asus ROG Phone 2 is overweight: 240 grams ... do you want bring a cement block in your pocket? Hahaha !!!!
* It has no 5G connectivity -> superb !!!! hahahah
* It has no IP68 protection -> great !!!! hahahah
* Does not have Android 10
* The Mate 30 Pro processor is 7nm + and the ROG Phone 2 is not.
* I no longer tell you anything about the subject of the Mate 30 Pro 5G camera with a Leica lens -> those of the Asus is a bad joke.
* And the battery charge of the Mate 30 Pro at 40W that the Asus doesn't have

You are the same people that will go into every IPhone, Galaxy S, Xperia and every freaking flagship that you are not biased towards trying to grief people.

        The Mate30 is one of the best phones, it outperforms most phones out there and fights toe to toe with the best flagships. The only flaw to hold against it is that it absurdly expensive given that it comes with no Google services. If he Mate 30 was prized at the price of the OnePlus 7t or Google Pixel it would be a killer deal.

          Mate 30 Pro might be the best phone released this year but Kirin is garbage and EMUI looks like the UI of any other 100-300 usd phones out there from Oppo or vivo or any other chinese cr*p out there. Looks so cheap even if it being considered the best phone out there. For me, UI matters a lot because that's what you mostly see while using a phone.

              You should be comparing Mate 30 to the iPhone 11 Pro Max, Note 10, S10+, Vivo NEX 3, etc.

                    Without GMS,Huawei could be Champion in China mainland only.Although,they reported their sales volume was increased but they never no say 'how much' global markets' sales data.So they recycling their products with changing name and put it out to global market.Their global market share would be drop by drop on future.These is an crisis for them.

                      I mean, you're the only person who's managing your time, so you're basically wasting your time by replying to an idiotic comment. Better to completely ignore if you think it's not worth responding (I'm not trying to be mean here, but I'm just saying).

Having used one in the store, the viewing angle of the display is on par with my P30 and S10, and the fact that the display curve is so steep makes it a lot more comfortable to hold than P30 Pro. Of course that doesn't mean its better than flat display since any degree of display curve means there won't be any glass screen protector for it, but "too much" curve is not a valid point of criticism. As you say, though, it certainly could've benefitted from higher refresh rate or resolution.

                        As for UWA lens, IMO the better overall image quality, especially in low light, make up well for narrower FoV. That's not to say the one on other phones are necessarily bad or Mate is better, I think it's just all about the preference.

                        Lastly ROG Phone 2 only scored so much higher because its battery capacity is 6000mAh, that is 33% larger than what you find on Mate 30 Pro. There's no way you can say it has a mediocre battery life when it lasts through full 2 days in medium usage. It seems to me you're being a bit too unreasonable here.

                        Btw ROG Phone 2 lacks any sort of external storage expansion (not even a proprietary one), has no IP rating whatsoever and the cameras are absolutely garbage. So it's a great phone for the price, but in the end it doesn't change the fact that it's a gaming phone made specifically for gamers.

                          S Yu, 26 Dec 2019Low res screen with bad viewing angles and too much curve, ... moreMate 30 series is far from being the best Android of 2019 for the reasons you've stated (especially no GMS for the asking price) and the ROG 2 easily beats the Mate 30 series by over 3/4 compared to hardware between the two devices, but the ROG 2 fall extremely short when comes to OS, cameras and software updates compared to the Mate 30 series.

                          The lame excuse that these lazy smartphone manufactures raise -- "it is 'only' a gaming phone" is only a cop-out for consumers to except an inferior camera imaging reproduction in a furious industry either you ride or die.

                          iPhones/Galaxy's (both have industry-leading camera imaging) phones are in every smartphone gaming benchmark test, and in many cases, if not all, the iPhone/Galaxy (mostly iPhones) wins in thermal, FPS, battery, etc. compared to labeled "gaming phones."

                                Huawei (CCP)makes good devices, right, but the higher models are really expensive, then, I see no reason as to why haters always bring the issue of crapple and samsung being expensive, I can somewhat understand the xiaomi, oppo, vivo blu, zte, etc, fanboys shouting everywhere about the "bang for the buck" argument, but huawei premium devices are by no means, cheap

                                    Mate 30 pro is suck
                                    Low res screen with bad viewing angles and too much curve, stuck on 60Hz.
                                    Awkward volume adjustment due to lack of pressure sensors unlike NEX3.
                                    "Ultrawide" module with much narrower FoV than Samsung and Apple.
                                    Mediocre battery.
                                    Mediocre speakers.
                                    No headphone jack.
                                    Niche storage format.
