Great phones but the software is too bloated.

Not a real problem. There is plenty of third party dialers. The only problem is the call recordimg function. Thats it. And this we can bypass it with skvalex call recorder. So not a big deal. For those who wants baddly the dialer and sms they can unlock bootloader and install the excelent beta developer with weekly updates or a stable version if they dont want beta developers rom. Xiaomi rocks anyway.

Then go to xiaomi.eu website to find a suitable Xiaomi.EU ROM for your device and install from there. Xiaomi.EU ROMs are based on China ROMs (which means MIUI Dialer and MIUI Messages are included) and it comes with the same Google Mobile Services which is ported by the Xiaomi.EU team.

The... moreActually phones with stock UI often doesn't have the useful features that are available on phones with a custom UI for example call recording.
Just search "call recording for Nokia phone" you'll see many of Nokia user asking for call recording feature because third party apps usually doesn't work properly on Android 9.

They should have give option to choose at least. I was very disappointed when I found my MI 9T pro has google apps instead of miui dialar and messages apps.
even miui doesn't let me to use miui dialar after I installed it

God help me. Google app (Dialn SMS) not really have many feature as we wish so alike Xiaomi default app.

It is shame, since MIUI phone app is very flexible in recording unknown and listed contact calls. But perhaps this is the reason they won't use it.
The messaging app is not something special.

Just another reason to stick with xiaomi.eu ROMs (based on China ROMs but with Google Mobile Services) so that the Mi dialer and Mi Messages aren't removed unlike Global ROM.
