Rog phone 2 lags so much,... moreIf it lags (never tried that phone) then probably because most Android games are terribly optimised.
I mean some paid multiplatform indies or ports of older games run most of the time fine, but a lot of F2P games do not.

That should be enough RAM for 3 tabs in GOOGLE Chrome!
Sarcasm aside, I think 16gb at this moment is useless overkill on a phone, unless they want to give it android updates for the next 3 to 4 years so that it would be future proof (dream on we will only get EMUI updates...)

I know why Xiaomi does this. Some people live stream while playing a certain mobile game at the same time on their smartphone. Heck, I am very certain that some live stream and going social at sites like Twitch or Discord or even YouTube Gaming while playing the game.

I have a Redmi Note 4 with SD625 and zero problems or lags. If you bought it from a chinese seller with bloatware its your problem. It takes few minutes to flash it with a GLOBAL firmware without ads.
The problem is that people buy phones without a clue of what they are doing or buying and even don't know how to do a maintenance of their phone along the time, with the phone full of their facebook crap things there forever, etc.

NipponFan, 12 Jan 2020Chinese brands and Samsung lately overcompensate good progr... moreI agree with you. I have a Xiaomi Redmi 5 plus and after the last MIUI update is not the same phone, in a bad way.
Even though it's SOC is 625, it originally was blazing fast (it normally shuts down apps that go background), but know is near to be just a brick, waiting several seconds for any app to load.
And it's embedded ads on the system software don't help either.
I haven't had a samsung to have a proper experience, but my xiaomi experience is just ok
