If one is really interested in good stabilized footage, they would use a gimbal not IBIS/OIS. These days plenty of them available for cheap and are very compact and fit easily inside your pockets.

          Main camera could be that 12MP 1/1.7" since it has larger physical pixel size, which is most ideal for most scenarios.

                iPhone 5s managed to have 1.5um pixels in a 1/3" sensor

The problem is that Sony (as well as other brands like LG, HTC etc) are a bit in a pickle, because offering same standard as the competition is not enough to lure people away from their trusted brands. This is what Sony has understood long ago and instead they offer "differentiation". What Sony doesn't understand is that offering differentiation without covering the basic standards of the competition also doesn't work. Furthermore, mobile phones are such a commoditized piece of equipment that differentiation is extremely tough.
                      I think the best strategy for Sony and all the others is to achieve same standards as the competition, take care of subtle differences in design and hope for the best.

                                  Hope they dont jump on overprocessed/fake looking / excess of hdr photos bandwagon.

                                    Actually I'm all for big pixels, if there is also option for hi res and 8K in daylight...
