Zeiss branded Camera, Damn!. I thought when HMD started Nokia mobile again, they were gonna use Zeiss Optics in every phone but they failed to deliver.
This comment doesn't mean anything but I'm surprised that Sony is using Zeiss and Nokia is failing miserably because of the weak midrange phones. Nokia should also produce High-end phones with High-end specs.

Chinese brands sell to people in India phones with SD7xx series, but put older parts to reduce cost.
Pointless to have SD730, if the phone uses gorilla 4, usb C 1.0 or micro usb, no nfc etc ..

            Most beautiful phone.
But, I will not buy it because for that money I can get playstation 4, Xiaomi 9t or Samsung s10e and Samsung 4k TV 55".
            Cheers

Well done Sony for bringing the jack back...

              Now don't remove it again

AnonD-864704, 24 Feb 2020Sony made a mistake by running away from world's 2nd larges... moreBecause India (and here Indonesia) has market that like High To Perform phones and mass ads. Sony is weak on this point.

They rather release premium phone with midrange SoC like Xperia 10 II, I bet that phone so expensive. Mean it's already D O A on market by Samsung and Chinese brands phones. Here, Sony leave since Xperia Z5 era.

Kendra Shields, 24 Feb 2020Still shitty 12MP shooters.. Gonna be a big no-go for me..Except the main shooter with the 1.8 micron pixel sensor. If that uses some of the new tech, it should have dual gain, and much higher dynamic range (between 60-100% improvement) and much better lownlight capabilities. That's the same sensor as the one on the S20 and S20 Pro

Anonymous, 24 Feb 2020If you keep watching on Low quality screen. It is. Sorry ... moreYour ignorance is legendary.

I don't use iPhones, but the extended dynamic range feature on the iPhone 11 series is great. It does does multi-frame image exposure, much like in HDR photo. And then creates a 8-bit hevc video with great dynamic range. Filmic Pro exploits this superbly with its 140mbps option on it, making the 4k on the iPhone 11 the best on any smartphone. It is obviously not 10-bit or any other HDR video standard, but it's superb, regardless.

The S20 should best it, by a healthy margin. And hopefully, Samsung works with FilmicPro to have great 8k log profile at high bitrates. That would be a filmmakers dream.

Anonymous, 24 Feb 20204k display for ya4k is a gimmick on 6-7 inches screen size. All it does is drain battery. No real world advantages.
Don't even say that you are going to watch 4k content on Smartphone. Everyone has a TV for 4k content which is where you should be ideally viewing it since 4k experience on TV much better than smartphone. Most ppl are fine with 1080p on Smartphone for viewing videos. Besides, Samsung has display with resolution more than the standard QHD.

I can switch to native resolution when viewing videos on S20 while switch to 1080p & will enjoy the premium experience of 120hz display. Pretty sure Samsung will enable 120hz @QHD with a software update. Or we might get that feature via xda even before the official roll out.

The Last Oracle, 24 Feb 2020And yet the iPhone video quality seems a lot more impressive. Come back and tell us that when you can use autofocus on that Ultrawide camera during video or for that matter 960fps slow motion recording @1080p.

Just another Sony brand boy trying to justify weak 60hz screen in 2020.

Sony made a mistake by running away from world's 2nd largest mobile market - India.
I have owned a Sony Xperia Sola for some years and passed it on for it live 2 more years and it did not break or went bad as far as I can tell. They've got amazing phones but it is like opening a petrol station in Antarctica as your only business.

                              $1,200 for Sony's newest model ?
Samsung wants $1450 for it's newest model

What the heck ? So next year will it be $100 dollars more ?
What are they trying to achieve ?. They went nuts with the price. Flagships are untouchable.

Will be my next phone for sure.

This will likely be my next phone, given this checks all the boxes while have a far more premium look than that LG leak. LG seems to have less reliable QC too.

                                    4000mah, 180gr, 7.6mm
That's just.. impressive! They must've used some new materials in the body and mainboards an so on! Just the massive front and rear glasses and main frame are like 100 grams, battery at least 70 grams

They have done something new and techy

                                    I am impressed

Just loving the looks and inside. My country won't get mmWave next 2-3 years so I do not care about lacking it in the 1 II. The pro is too big and ugly in my eyes.

Really gonna be between this, LG V60 (if it impresses me), and mate40pro end of the year if not, the p40pro premium if impresses me enough and not lacking important stuff like qHD resolution, IR port, better Face Unlock, and why not (but only dreaming) led notification dot just like my mate20pro.

                                    Interesting year is 2020 indeed!

inb4 reviews say this is like iphone 4 design. apple and iphone 4 by steve jobs own words admired sony designs and strived for them. iphone 4 copied the design of PSP and nokia n95. not the other way around.

All Apple can do it to use tricks to keep sky as much blue as it can. Same tricks for photos.
10bit has wider DR, better exposure, closer to real colours, better texture.

Watch both on a 65" 4K HDR Bravia. You will see.

If iphone video was the best, dxo would not have to keep other phones at 1080p30 while they use 4K60 for iphone.
4KHDR of Xperia 5 and 8K of Mi10 were not tested to keep iphone at top.
And they said they were going to test best setup. Just did not.
