While many people at hedge funds prefer samsung (especially note 10 plus). Make what you want from it. Almost no one buys phone at full price in US, that is the only reason iphone is dominant. In any place where phones are paid in full, iphones are always a second fiddle. Aren't they third (in world) these days? despite having monopoly on their OS? plus isn't their best seller their cheapest phone?

And you're also f00l if you can't see the advantages of the iPhone in terms of software support, third party support and prestige because everyone knows that Apple provides a longer software update than Samsung, popular third-party applications are also more optimized on the iPhone and the majority of successful and famous people prefer the iPhone over Samsung phones.

Although more convenient, that Wireless sound quality sucks big time over my older wired Sony 50 buck earphones...
Fact beyond doubt.
Maybe LDAC ones would make for better, but then also same priced wired ones would be even much better.
So yeah, a jack is a seller for me, and a lot of other audiophilic people.

Hell no! From HW sensor to final image there are many hardware and even more software steps than we can imagine. Samsung lacks Sony's AF focus features that spread over 70% of the sensor for example and that's something that's developed on the very low level of the sensor firmware.

DSEE Ultimate and 360 Reality have both debuted in this Xperia instead of a some Walkman device and Walkman has also transitioned to Android with one sub-flagship and one high midrange device from their Sony OS.

Good that SONY brings back the 3.5mm jack. If inbuilt DAC is better than what XZ Premium had to offer it would be insane. XZ Premium was as good as a very decent entry level Audiophile DAC, so if XPERIA 1 II is an improvement over it that will be an insane package for a smartphone.

That means the individual pixel size in increased which is a big improvement. This will result in greater image quality which will be better than any 48/64/128mp cameras in the market. It will be resolution limited to just 4K but will give you best results for capturing 4K images or even video. Specially low-light image quality be improved greatly.

Came to the comment section smiling wryly to myself, "let the hate begin!" But alas, a Sony Phone is full of praise! Good job, community! Or are the haters still asleep? The truth is that it is a good phone, seems like one of the best out there right now, but still, it's Sony and you do expect the haters to hate! I fully agree with one thing: Sony ought to price it right! If they do that, it will be one of the most on-demand phones. For me right price is in the range of $800. I used to be a die-hard fan of the 3.5mm jack, but after experiencing some amazing, waterproof buds priced at $20, I don't see myself going back the wired route. My co-3.5jackers may want to believe a converted fanatic member of the club. No need to pay over $50 for such stuff anymore by the way.

The only complaints for this new 1ii camera setup are, their main sensor at 24mm focal length (they already got the 16mm), weird choice. To my eyes, the perfect distortion angle for everyday travel/street photography are either at 28mm or 35mm focal length.
Also if the telephoto lens sensor size at least 1/2.6" @f2.0, it'll be perfect. But yeah, at the moment, the rest are impressive.

If they are considered as equivalent product to apple in apples home ground, I honestly don't see why they are inferior to apple. In most countries, it's the contrary!
