Not bad, should be way cheaper than the overpriced and under performing S20 series

Almost 17cm tall. Getting silly now.

Whackcar, 26 Feb 2020Let's say it is, what about the dual-cameras then? Low yiel... moreI didn't comment about the cameras because I couldn't find any reason not to keep the third one. Other OEMs are heavily playing on showing big specs, and cameras are a very hot specs opportunity, at least as long as marketing goes. Surely the additional amount of people drawn to their device due to the extra sensor would greatly offset the ~40$ (big max) in lost profits for each unit sold.

Or they're happy with the G8 (dual camera) and G8X sales figures. Who knows.

but why LG didn't upgrade the dual screen resolution instead of decreasing the main screen resolution .
                          I don't understand LG anymore...

if i compare it with Xperia 1 mk2, Sony wins in everything except that LG has 1000mAh more, also the dual screen is a gimmick and GorillaGlass 5 in 2020 is another mistake from LG!
i think the V50 ThinkQ design's is much better!

AnonD-558092, 26 Feb 2020Maybe yields are low for QHD+ LG OLEDs? And due to their cu... moreLet's say it is, what about the dual-cameras then? Low yield for that too?

I think LG did this move to maximize the profits. They're corner-cutting on things that aren't necessary. The average consumer can't tell the difference between 1080p & 1440p. As for lack of telephoto, they're probably relying on their new 64MP primary sensor to do some hybrid zoom.

Let's say all of the above is true, then LG needs to price their phone according to the compromises. Otherwise they're being unreasonable.
