I was enjoying your convo until you made this comment. The ban is more political; it has nothing to do with integrity if that is what you mean.
Someone made a comment above that he has become a pawn in a trade war which his country is not part of. That is more like it. Now he has got more balls to tell it as it is.
One thing you are afraid to say is USA leadership is scared of some little company which some snotty Americans prefer to call backwater Chinese company. It is an opened secret that all the major online orgs have back doors that allows the American gov to extract users’ data unauthorized. From What I have read so far, one thing is clear: when it comes to matter of privacy the likes of Google cannot be trusted. This comes up repeatedly because we do not have comparable alternatives which might help the situation but American govt does not want it to be help. They want to the status quo. PERIOD!
Integrity has nothing to do with the ban.

I really like the huawei p40lite fone and am dissapointed theres no google anything so am downloading the huawei app to test on my samsung before i upgrade lol

Play store, YouTube, P... moreAs a mobile developer, Without GMS many apps couldn't work, even the simple notification you receive which is also will not work without google apps. Also you will miss the fastest navigation and live traffic updates from google maps. Contacts are synced to google account and google drive automatic backups, any thing will not work. If your a person with google apps are a part of your life, it is really hard to switch.

Otherwise they wouldn't be allowed to actually steal all your data. Ok. All your data is in their database. So what?
P.s.:don't be rude. I just wanna understand your mentality since i can't find one reason why you would sacrifice all google apps for literally nothing...

Totally unnecessary privacy invasion. It is best to remain Google free. I am using unGoogled phone on purpose because I care about my privacy! There is no reason to let Google have all your private data and track your location constantly. I use /e/ from e foundation and it runs Android apps without anything related to Google.
