Xiaomi hugely overprice them for the global market. The previous models they just didn't overprice and were selling them worldwide on their Chinese prices... ;-(
Mi 9 now costs just 340 EUR in my country and Mi Note 10 Pro - 500 EUR. The existence of these two new models simply makes no sense... :-/

Of all the truly NEW SoCs released for 2020, only SD720G is 4G. All other SoCs are 5G, either with an integrated 5G modem, or are designed to work only with a 5G modem. All the upcoming SoCs in the coming months will be 5G. The days for 'pure' 4G smartphones are gone, forever. If you still live in a 4G market, you need to switch to new phones running on new 5G SoCs. Please note all 5G phones are also 4G phones. In general, a 5G smartphone can function as a better 4G smartphone. There are still last year's 4G phones available, but the stock for those 4G phones are rapidly approaching zero.

Wow,I`m scared to write this,judging by the love in most of the comments here...Hopefully I`ll be able to afford the new Mi10 Pro in few months,despite the current situation worldwide..I guess in June this great phone will cost 20-30% less than now,on Aliexpress,like all my previos Xiaomi phones... plus 2-3 updates that will come by then,it will be even better..

So the Mi 8 launch price was 500€ in Europe, then the Mi 9 was also 500€(I was really surprised about that), and now it goes to 800€ with the Mi 10, that's possibly the same price or even higher than the base OnePlus 8.
I never thought they would catch up to their price so fast.
Anyway, I still think it worth it, they upgraded the phone in many ways, added back stereo speakers that the Mi 6 had, OIS the Mi 8 had, huge 108 MP sensor, the OnePlus 8 is rumored to have 48 a MP one.

Iphone should cost around 500€ max , premium phones cost from 10k to 50k samsung and iphone are not premium phones . it will just take time, can't happen in 1 month. more like 1 year. you will see. p40pro+ and mate xs are examples that huawei will not step back and start doing only midrangers. just the oposite - us provokes and motivates huawei even more - p40pro+ and mate xs are perfect examples of my words came into reality. just with the huawei app store will take more time since most top applications come from US based companies. But negotiations and some cash, time, and job done

Launching tomorrow at exactly 10 AM Chinese time, the Mi 10 will start selling in Peach, Green, and Black. Prices are CNY3,999 ($572/€526) for the 8GB/128GB version, CNY4,299 ($615/€565) for an 8GB/256GB unit, and CNY4,699 ($673/€618) for the top 12GB/256GB variant.
So it started 520 euro in China 2 months ago and now it is here (in Europe) for 800 euro ...

At best people would say they are more legitimate (besides Huawei) than most brands coming from china. For the average person there are only two premium smartphone brands Apple or Samsung, not even LG or Sony are seen that way anymore.

Well so far the following companies have failed miserably:
- Samsung with their sh*tty, overpriced S20 series (luckely they lost 60% in sales, hopefully they will be hit much harder in the coming time)
- Huawei with their sh*tty cut-out, low-res display, mono speaker, bad camera and high price tag
- Xiaomi with their sh*tty low res display and high price
- Apple. We already now that Apple will fail miserably with their technology from the past, low-res dispays, sh*tty battery, bad camera and astronomical price tag
- Only ones left are OnePlus 8 Pro and Note 20 Pro. Lets hope they don't fail too. Then 2021 would have been for nothing.

At least for this price add ip68 rating and better quality battery... Mi 9 is now 9 month old and battery is less than 80% of its age... Come on iPhone and samsung huawei lg htc batteries live 3 4 years..

It is time to move to iPhone or Samsung.. Lol xiaomi! I have mi 9 and still great.. But at this price.. Going to better quality then with samsung or the iphone maybe huawei if they do install GMS again

Mi 9 has 12MP 52mm camera.
Replaced by dual 2MP macro and depth.
That is a dumb move.
