People keep trying to justify the price with 'taxes, shipping costs etc."
Neither taxes or shipping cost have changed dramatically over last year. Yet still, last year, Xiaomi delivered Mi 9T Pro at around $500 here. No excuses, Xiaomi got greedy and Mi 10 is 100% trash for this price.

I applaud the way Xiaomi has priced Mi 10 Series for Europe. Mi 10 Pro for €999 is a very reasonable price. Xiaomi should stick to the rational behind the pricing for the coming years while keep improving the product(s). Xiaomi's pricing is very stable for the shelf-live of the product, since Xiaomi doesn't over-supply or over-commit to any product. Xiaomi gives the same dealer-price (with adjustments for import tax, higher level EU warranty service, etc) to all dealers in different countries, but the European dealers usually set the retail price higher to take a larger cut of the profit. In the event that the price is lowered for a special sale, the discount comes from dealers' cut, not from Xiaomi. In other words, Xiaomi will not lower the dealer-price for the shelf-life of Mi 10 Series. Mi 10 Series may or may not sell well in EU, but the pricing is correct and should be kept.
I am pretty sure OnePlus 8 Pro will similarly be responsibly priced higher than that of last year.

What the hell!
Even if they do it all the time, I never imagined for a second, in all these years of Xiaomi that they'd try to mimic apple on that crazy number - 999.
Even without that, 800 for too many compromises is pretty worthless and a no-brainer decision.
Perhaps Qualcomm is to blame here, and maybe a tiny bit Samsung for that 108 mp sensor. But I'm really confused why Xiaomi wants to suicide itself in EU?
Did the whole company leadership get hit by some sort of brain affecting Cornovirus that we don't know of, yet, again?

900 for the pro and even 1000 to get 12 gb of ram as last year's s10 ? Xiaomi is clearly thinking that they are doing something extraordinary in this phone which they are not, even the 108 cam is inferior to Samsung's 108 twin, this phone won't sell unless it goes down to 700 or 650 that's totally crazy pricing for a company that not even one of the old players in the market

Wait, so Mi 10 Pro will cost the same as P40 Pro in Europe? I really thought Xiaomi would price it reasonably, but damn.. Hopefully it won't carry the same pricing when it arrives to where I live.
