Finally Chinese brands openly pulling an 'Apple' on customers. First it was Huawei, then OnePlus, now Xiaomi... Pretending to be cheap all along just waiting for the time to strike.
That's why I have a special respect for Samsung, LG, Sony and Apple. Yes! Obviously these 4 are the top of quality.
Hold My Beer, get me my glasses ... Xiaomi flagship more expensive than LG's(V60 which is a more complete device), WHAAAAT???

Pro5_0nr, 27 Mar 2020The cost is not that much different. This is not the Mi Not... moreI didn't ask m8. I know what the Mi Note 10 Pro is and I know they pulled the same overpricing bs on that. The cost is a lot different. Hundreds more is a lot different and if you think otherwise there's something wrong with you mentally.

Damn...
They did it also?
I was hoping so much for a real fair price, instead they go Samsung and Apple on us...
This is in no way a flagship killer.
I will check it again in 4-5 months, if below 500 Euro I will take one, if not... Will remain with my Mi 8 until a good flagship killer comes.
This is not acceptable.

Alex 94, 27 Mar 2020Why not? If others can put 1000€ price, they also can. With ... moreXiaomi is a premium brand - I hope you are joking. They are sh*t compared to others.
The Mi 10 Pro should have costed max 599 euros.

Xiaomi overestimating its strength. Almost 65000 in INR. For chinese brands 30 to 40 is ok. Above that useless.

A decent & competitive price would have been 600 for the standard and 800 for the Pro. They messed it up!

Why EU version is 300€ more than the Chinese version???
plus, you can get the P40 Pro for less which is much better, also the S20+ which can be found at 600€ now
It's just stupid, I hardly think they will sell anything

Anonymous, 27 Mar 2020Buy the Chinese version, install global software. Live wit... moreThe Chinese model doesn't support some European bands though so could be a problem for those living in Europe. You could do that with the Oppo find x2 pro or Huawei p or Mate series as they have better European band support

Pro5_0nr, 27 Mar 2020It's crazy how often the Mi 10 pro is confused with the Mi ... moreThey should keep the Note 10 name for their mid-range camera focussed devices.
And switch the Mi 11 next year to Mi 21 like Samsung has done.

ponk87, 27 Mar 2020So the whole world is heading towards a recession in this C... moreI was wondering about that too hehe.
We are heading straight into a global recession and both Samsung, Huawei and now Xiaomi are introducing the highest smartphone prices ever. I thought this was a joke first but they are dead serious.
Luckely Samsung just announced that their S20 series sales are reduced by 60%. I hope the same thing will happen to Huawei and Xiaomi. The only thing such greedy people understand is when they are hit economically.

Aierlan, 27 Mar 2020Totally depends on your priorities. If you want the better ... moreAnd for those who want Google Services, regular updates and good support, Apple and the Pixel are the answers, with Samsung in the group as well.
Xiaomi is way overpriced for what you get and Huawei should not even be in the running for anyone in a developed country.

Samsung, Sony, Oppo and now Xiaomi all have priced their phones a lot higher in the European markets compared to other markets internationally.
Is this because of EU taxing them more?

Aierlan, 27 Mar 2020This is the same for all the Chinese brands. No import taxe... moreMost importantly, which no media is ever reporting, is that in china there is no Google Play.
Meaning the 30% cut of all revenue through app store that Google takes actually can go to the device maker.
That revenue and profit source is used to discount the hardware price and also boost marketing budgets for all Chinese brands fighting outside of china.

For that price they will fail hard in Europe. I rather take established brand phone for that price
