Yesteryears flagship chip is still better than today's mid range chips. Very attractive offering BUT why not just pickup a G8 unlocked which could be found new for $379-$399?

This is the proper way to do mid-range imo. S845 is still better than a lot of the mid range offerings and maybe even cheaper for them to buy than the S765 and S730. The display wasn't skimped on and basically this phone checks every box people actually care about. Unfortunately for them it will probably release at a similar time as the Pixel 4a.

Except for Chipset and Display, every other spec is entry level. $200 phones do it better. Vivo S1 4GB / 128GB with Amoled display and 4500mah battery, Realme 5 Pro 6GB / 128GB with 48MP camera, SD 712.
Can LG define a target market for this phone? A Japanese Mobile phone gamer who doesn't leave home much and keeps his phone plugged in most of the time?
