ICS updates finally hit I9100 and I9100G Galaxy S II in India

Ive upgraded my SII I9100G to ICS. Its all good with many updates but it has reduced my RAM from 910MB to 687MB.
VERY VERY disappointing so please think before upgrading. NOT RECOMMENDED!!!

After trying for more then 10 times for almost 6hrs on 31st May 2012 and coming accross "OPERATION TIMED OUT" errors for 8-9 times, i finally updated my Galaxy S2 to ICS .... pheeww ... ;) Attaboy Samy ...
Experiance:
1. UI Scrolling lags occationally
2. Data counter a good addon
3. Social Hub finally got a widget
4. Restart Option in Power button Menu
4. Other Common Misc. ICS changes.
5. Cursor directly activates Message typing box after opening an incomming SMS - Annoying
6. Still no Browser Exit option.
7. Face Lock as good as crap.
8. Mark as Read for Multiple email selection is ABSENT
9. THE WAIT WAS NOT WORTH IT (atleast in case of India) Atleast HTC are loyal to old customers too Desire S too will get ICS.
Overall it looks to be satisfactory.

wifi link breaks every 3 minutes even if I am sitting next to router

there's some problem in wifi.
usually i use wifi whole day but now most of the times it dont work.I don't know how is that.
some time wifi works and other times its connected but there is no data transfer.

Any performance issues like.. HANG , LESS BATTERY LIFE ?

what wow, 30 May 2012all you guys crying over missing ram..you dont even know ho... moreso by your theory a phone with 100Mb RAM should work far better than say, the galaxy SIII with a gig of RAM,right? :/

hey i update my gt i9100g to ics before my phones ram is 910mb but after updating it wii decrese to 680mb why?

This ICS update really2 make me upset. no more vibrate and screen rotation after the update. there are also same home screen, and only got 4 shortcut at the tray icon, not 5 in the real ICS. almost all of mt software not running well, and really2 regret for performing rhe update to my hp. I hope samsung can fix it.

Deeply disappointed with this ICS update frm Samsung..firstly the long wait and then aftr d update u end up with the following:
1. Dialer, Contacts, Logs and Favourites cud have been accessed by a single icon in Gingerbread. Nw dialer has a tab only 4 logs..u need to access contacts separately..
2. Font size has been increased everywhere, be it contacts ot settings, consequently making u scroll more apart frm ruining the looks..
3. Compatibility of apps with default font has apparently been altered..News feed in 'Facebook 4 Android', text content on 'wtsapp' or 'GOsmsPRO' dont adjust according to the font set in "settins" unlike in Gingerbread..
4. Settings tab has been ruined, nt jus by the increase in font size which displays less options per page bt also by changing the order of settings..eg: Brightness settings is the 6th or 7th option in Display tab whereas things u don't change frequently, viz, lockscreen wallpaper is the 2nd option!!
5. Phone takes more time to boot compared to 2.3.6
6. Clearing RAM does not close the applications running in the background..they are still visible in task manager..Dunno if it was the same in 2.3.6..
7. So many apps on the play store bt still samsung could not provide a USEFUL LOCKSCREEN with the update. Unlocking has been visually improved bt no utilities like shortcuts for apps as in Nexus..
Improvements are few, viz, lockscreen (u can find way better options on the market), better animations and the option to customize your phone a little more under the developer tab in settings, nt to forget the Data Monitor app which is a nice feature to use..
Overall, disappointed with the Samsung's version of ICS for i9100..frm wt I've seen on my friend's Xperia Neo V, Sony hav done a way better job!!

I have updated to ICS yesterday via Kies and looks good so far.I was never able to check for software update from phone and now it is fixed.but still not able to synchronize with my outlook 2003 calendar :(
