I don't care About higher refresh rates, I watch lot of Content and 4K makes more sense to me. If QHD is better than FHD. 4K is better than QHD. Period. Plus I'm getting more Colours (10bit and BT2020) and accurate Colours compared to any other Smartphone. Period. I don't care high refresh rates. It is not a gaming mobile. It is a premium mobile. 60Hz is Standard for some reason, makes sense??

    For refresh rate lovers sony also brining 90Hz equiavalant on 4K HDR Display. To have that Scrolling smoothness (Eventhough I eprsonall don't care).

Samsung proved itself to be a champ going upto 20 feet in sea water which it wasn't rated for & at an depth it wasn't rated for( since water pressure increases with depth).
                  All others failed. That's quality Ip certification right there.

                  Huge difference in salt water and regular water. Regular phones are only designed to handle regular water at certain level of pressure.

                    Errr... wrong, you can. I frequently bring my LG V50 to a swimming pool and even do a lot of underwater video recording with no waterproof video casing whatsoever, and I have absolutely zero problems with it at all to this day.

                      We should be seeing that Xperia launch internationally sometime in June. Cannot wait for the X1 ii to officially arrive in Malaysia.

                        And salt water is no different from normal fresh water at the start. Both still fries you're device, only difference is when the salt water dries, it leaves behind the salt which corrodes traces.

                        Plus, in normal day to day use - why would you even compare the depth like a competition? IP rating is for light water usage like bath, shower - fresh water type activities. You cant even use it in the pool since it'll corrode the USB port.

                          Looking at past 3 year record for Sony, I doubt it survives another 2 years.
                          Chinese brands like Realme sold 35 million phones in the last 2 years since it's inception.
                          Why is a well known brand like Sony failing? Don't give me the quality phone excuse. Plenty of premium priced phones might sell less in numbers but they don't incur losses.
                          Besides, Sony doesn't have a huge catalogue of phones to manage either.
                          Only 4,00,000 sold out of 7,00,000 shipped are shameful numbers.
                          Even niche devices like Galaxy Fold have sold more units than the entire Sony lineup.

                          Ppl want worldwide availability, service centers and software support which are automatically wiped off as Sony's mobile division continues to incur losses.

                            I'm going to ask you where is 4K OLED screen so tightly color calibrated that achieves delta below 0.8 on your favorite phone? Before you dismiss highest resolution screen ever put on a phone I would like to remind you that resolution on pentile OLEDs matter because of less subpixels compared to LCD.

                            Wheres is your OLED screen that doesn't exhibit PWM in low brightness?

                            Where is HLG video recording on your favorite phone? It doesn't exists that's where it's at.

                            Where is 5-axis video stabilization on your favorite phone? Unless your favorite phone is S20 it's not there.

                            Where is 20fps burst shooting with locked AF/AE on your favorite phone? It's not there I know that much

                            How about hardware surround audio with dedicated audio chips on board? Yup not there

                            Audio jack with seriously big and dedicated software audio enhancement tools that come off straight from portable audio division? No where to be found.

                            LDAC streaming? Maybe, maybe not

                            An actual long lasting IP68 rating that doesn't fail after few months of exposure to sun. Water protection that has sealed ear speaker as well as bottom front speaker and notifies you when USB port gets wet? I'm sure its to be found somewhere. One day.

                            Let's talk about amount of gorilla glass coating on that 2.5d screen, tap on it with your fingernail and it sounds like you are tapping a thick glass. Now tap your favorite phone both front and back, it sounds shallow like tapping plastic.

                            And this is only from top of my head, I'm sure I would find more if I really tried.

                              Periscope is useless to you and you only. It will automatically become useful when Sony gives it to you on Xperia 1 III.

                              Why use small battery when bigger batteries with more charge cycles and degradation proof advanced fast charging available?

                              Besides, my original reply was to the guy claiming this phone had everything including some extra.
                              Had to slap some sense into him that this lacks plenty of things which are standard on almost every 2020 flagships not to forget worldwide availability, etc.

                                      The 4k is a battery hog in the first place.

                                      2020 is the year of higher refresh rate displays.
                                      No flagship is complete without high refresh rate display in 2020.
                                      Even Apple which is notorious for catching up is sporting 120hz panel on upcoming iPhone 12. Only peasants use 60hz. And don't you dare talk about 90hz motion gimmick on Sony.

                                        Sony didn't even manage half a million sales in 3 months worldwide.
                                        Realme Narzo, a small subset of one of the Chinese companies sold 70k phones in 2 minutes.
                                        The real gimmick is Sony's mobile division.
