To me, Sony got the design right with the Xperia 10 and Xperia 10 Plus. No bottom chin to talk about, just a little top bezel to house the speaker and the selfie camera and that's it. Those are seriously good-looking phone.

They bought Motorola for this specific reason, to showcase the vanilla Android to the masses, who were blinded by the OEM skins. Once, it served its purpose (Moto G, Moto E, Moto X), it sold it off.
Again the intention was just for that purpose, and once it got completed, they got rid of it intentionally.

ah Good old fellow Nexus 6
I had the phone for almost 18 months and I loved every single thing on it EXCEPT it was huge... and I mean huge like I couldn't use the phone with one hand. As much as I loved it I switched just for having a smaller device.

Ah, the good times... real stereo speakers, no bloatware, good Android experience, very good camera, and no unnecesarily things added, unlike actual Pixel's.

Of all the phones I've had, the Nexus 6 was my absolute favorite. I kept it going as long as i could, replaced the battery and if the screen hadn't gotten broken I might still be using it. I actually still have it stored and at some point I plan to replace the screen just to have it working again.

Still my favorite phone if i had the money i would still buy a new screen and battery to revive it by far the best phone I have ever used with dual front firing speakers the massive display the weight was hefty but comfortable the photo quality was not the best I will say but real good the placement of headphone jack was good and right in the middle the lack of volte made it unusable but that is ok the software experience top notch still the stock android at its best the micro USB was just terrible even though it had qc 2.0 the connector was flimsy but the wireless charging worked fine but was too slow for the use the ring flash was quite good and gave good illumination front camera terrible the haptik motor was real good and display was best in the class not comparable to Samsung but very well calibrated overall I can still use it with no regrets ever except the lack of sd card slot 9/10 for the phone

it may have bezels but you can hear proper stereo by dual speakers in the front of the device rather than one in the bottom side

This has bezels that put the screen to body ratio almost on par with the Sharp Aquos Crystal.

Wether this phone was a good deal in 2014 or not, that's debatable. But let's look at this from an other angle. 6 years ago, this phone had QHD AMOLED display, flagship soc, fast charging, wireless charging, stereo speakers...
All of this at 650$, this proves how much these new flagship phones are overpriced, because taking into consideration the balance between these technologies getting older, which means cheaper ( as costs of R&D are covered) and inflation, no flagship smartphone should cost more than 700$ in 2020.

Now i can't tell if a man has a 1000$ or 100$ just by looking at the front. I personally prefer bezels (part of the reason i bought a shark 2 was because it had a bezel). Also i like how on the "bad" section of gsmarena's iphone se review it says:"bezels,bezels,bezels" while that is the whole point of the phone...

I have had the 6P, and upon using a modded gcam app with HDR+ Enhanced support, i was truly blown away by the level of detail it captured. Also, the colors and dynamic range was pretty good as well. I can share some of my sample photos if anyone would like to see that.
Unfortunately, the battery and bootloop issues made it an infamous phone.

It's weird to see this article praising the Nexus 6 so much. I had a Nexus 5, Moto X 2014 and a Nexus 6. I sold my Nexus 6 after a month and a half. This is the phone that made me never buy a flagship again. It wasn't bad, but it was huge and didn't offer much of an upgraded experience to the Moto X imo. I think the codename of this phone was shamu; appropriate name.
