For the oldest models, this will be the last update. However, some fairly old iPhones will reportedly be supported in 2021 as well.

Also have fun destroying the battery with 65W charging. It doesn't matter in which way the battery is split, in the end you still have a 20Wh battery charged with a 65W charger which gives a charge rate of over 3C (lithium batteries dislike anything over 1C).

    Every app that has an android and iOS version the iOS version is far better quality and better supported to by all iPhones. On android some phones will have issues with some apps due to the fragmented mess it is

      Of course because most people buy cheap phones. Android marketshare mostly comes from cheap $200 phones. When people really want something better most of them choose iPhone, thatÂÂ’s why Apple is only company whoÂÂ’s flagship phones are high in list of top selling phones, very few want Android flagship phone, propably one big reason is because they donÂÂ’t want to get screwed year after year by horrible support from those companies.

      There’s reason why iPhone users buy new iPhone over and over and over again, it’s customer satisfaction.

I said the rate of development has slowed down considerably. There's maybe like 2 phones from 2012 which I would consider to be barely usable in 2016, meanwhile I can think of plenty of phones from 2016 that are usable today and thus they should still be supported.

                  Market share is something only low end manufacturers care about because they need to sell high volumes just to break even.

                  Rolls Royce and Bentley much like Apple do not worry about market share, just quality products and profit. :)

                  Android and windows are both great for budget buyers though, more so android because even android manufacturers drop support as soon as possible because all their devices are just half baked beta products.

                  But keep making excuses for your cheap hardware and keep buying it yearly the OEMs need you to or they will collapse :’D

                    Your choice is actually quite limited both in longevity and quality. Samsung are pushing out beta products like the s20 series,Huawei are pushing out unsupported devices (Android is so bad that Google has to shut out some OEMs :Â’D), and the other android manufacturers are mostly on the verge of collapse at any given time as they barely make profit and are mostly state owned entities in their countries that depend heavily on government subsidies.

                    Yeah your options are pretty limited kiddo,quit trying to fool yourself, Android is one giant cesspool of poorer supported devices and subpar hardware (s20 ultra camera for example).

Do you think it is the same quality as the S20 one? No, is not. So, the fact that some smartphone has the same technology display, doesn't mean is a good OLED display. It is better than a bad LCD, but not the same level at the high-end OLED's.
                      pretty good camera. I have a 225EUR phone from 2020. It has a pretty good camera too (actually 4 of them).
                      fast charging (15W or 18W is not fast charging in 2020). Welcome to 65W VOOC charging. 0-100% in 30 minutes. I'll buy that. And yeah, is not bad for battery either (that is both batteries). Is like having 2 30W chargers. So, no battery issues in long term usage.

                      So yeah, trust me, technology in smartphones have improved since 2016. You just need to see it that's all.

                          Just do a Gsmarena specs comparison of Pixel with any 2020 flagships.
                          The advantages of using 2020 flagships are huge.

                                Plenty of other flagship phones with SD865 available.
                                I personally find design of S20 series ugly.
                                But hey I can choose from a variety of flagships. Can you do that in iOS ecosystem? Sadly not. You have to wait for next year hoping they'll give you new design.
                                So yeah iOS users having to beg is true.

Phone development has slowed down considerably, something like the Pixel XL from 2016 is still very usable hardware wise these days (1440p OLED, 4GB RAM, UFS flash, pretty good camera, USB-C, 3.5mm, same fast charging as Pixel 4), but Google doesn't make updates for it anymore. Also the resale value of iPhones is a lot higher than for the comparable Android.

                                    For iphone i would be much better if they use android.
                                    At least android does not need bloatware called I tunes to send photos and videos from phone to computer and most phones supports SD cards where in case of Apple we all have to stick with expensive cloud storage or brownse whole galery to pick things we want to delete which will take lots of time especialy when we dont do this often.
                                    Which is scam on customers.

Not to mention that the iphone had automatically set all data to be transferred to icloud. And at some point it give me the error with not enough space on my icloud. WTF? Go into settings, change it and start again. Install itunes for Windows, because yeah why not?
                                      Not to mention I couldn't download mp3 files from internet (because security issues, yeah right). I am doing that since forever on Android phones and not one single security issue I've encounter. But correct, I needed to have Apple music or Spotify right? Why? Everything with Apple is simple, because they oblige you to do things the way they wanted. Sorry, but I like my flexibility and liberty, even when talking phones.
                                      Worst experience I had with a phone, after just 4 month I sold it.

                                      Did you ever experienced the drag and drop function when pairing an Android phone with a windows laptop? Is quite a revolutionary thing. I think that is what I call simplicity.
