Samsung Galaxy Note20+ to have a 108MP sensor, 50X zoom

03 June 2020
It will keep a tri-cam setup like the Galaxy Note10+, the ToF is getting replaced by a laser focus sensor.

NotAnOpinion, 03 Jun 2020Who really uses the S-pen after a few weeks of novelty? ... moreI don't use the S-pen much but its need gets necessitated in Snapchat for example.

Let's say I'm coloring in a picture and my finger touches don't register on the very edges of the screen so I whip out the S-pen and viola, it's precise input automatically fills in the hard to get pixels as it has a fine tip compared to human fingers.

I find it really hard to even care for a Note series.
It was a staple of Android phones, no compromises back then but now ...
Hopefuly it will be much batter than S20 with issues ironed out.

NotAnOpinion, 03 Jun 2020Who really uses the S-pen after a few weeks of novelty? ... morePeople bought Galaxy Note not for the stylus. It's for the status since the Note is (was) the most expensive model from Samsung.

Who really uses the S-pen after a few weeks of novelty?

        Move on.

          Samsung is losing focus.

In the beginnings, the Galaxy S was the flagship, and the Note was the ultra flagship with larger screen. Everything else are usually the same, except for the stylus. It's confusing now. Where there's Galaxy S Plus, and that the Note is not even having the "best" of everything.

Very impressive camera setup. Be interested to see what GSM Arena will say whether it is a quad camera setup or a triple camera setup. I was hoping for a penta camera setup. I did not see any mention of OIS so will have to wait and see. Also no mention of selfie camera details. Just hoping for a bigger pixels count than the S20 Plus phone. Ideally a 20 megapixel for selfie camera would be fantastic seeing a lot of Samsung midrange phone getting bigger pixels count for the selfie camera.

LOL in the PC world or smartphone world, technologies move fast.
No one wants outdated hardware and software experience.

2-3 years is enough for a sensible upgrade.
Huge improvements happen in tech world within that time frame.

Why do you need the big majpr updates that much? Regular updates still come for 4 years I dont see why its a deal breaker.

Not exynos shit again. FFS it's so unfair that the USA, China and South Korea get Snapdragon whilst the rest gets a shitty processor.

Also 2 years of software update. FUUCK you Samsung. I'm changing to Apple.

Was nice using your devices past 7 years it's time for a change.

Now I would have preferred they put the 50MP GN1 sensor with dual pixel AF instead of the 108mp HM1 sensor.

Atleast they added AF on Ultrawide since Ultrawide camera was superb with great field of view but only lacking in AF. No need for useless macro sensor when you have AF on Ultrawide.

They should've went for Laser Focus in the first place. It's not as fast as Dual-Pixel AF, but it's still quite fast & reliable. The terrible PDAF on the Ultra really ruined the camera experience on that phone.

Of course they will use that 108mp sensor even though it has issues and not the new 50mp one. We know that it isn't great, they know that it isn't great but they won't accept that which will hurt their other sales

The 100x zoom surely bit them in the ass.
