Anonymous, 14 Jun 2020I hope they don't.. for the sake of battery life....
my op... moreFast charging, when well done, doesn't necessarily damage much the battery, even really high power, the issue is that, wattage itself mean nothing, some 20W charging are faster than other 20W+
And some 100W+ tech probably damage less the battery than other 20W ones...
Thermal management and voltage vs amperage balance is way more important than the whole wattage.
But all this is confusing anyway, it depend on so many things...
What we should get is a specific "score" or standard/certification that tell how much the average charging time (based on various X starting percentage to X end percentage) is fast, but also how much quick charge cycles the battery can handle before loosing a standard capacity/quality percentage...

I guess nor the 8T, nor the 8T Pro will come with a pop up despite the huge success of the 7 Pro, nor they will make a third variant with a pop up or a bezel or 3D facial recognition, or anything actually different from the basic actually...
OnePlus used to be quite good at giving various options, but not I fear they got full on "we don't care about the customers anymore and we only aim for what's the cheapest we can sell at the highest price" mentality...
But maybe, a miracle can happen ?
