Great. People on this site have already thrown the 855 to the wolves. Give it a couple of months. Everyone is going to treat the 865 like it's some kind of MediaTek step child. If I have a 2016 BMW 7 series and you have 2020 BMW 7 series, is my car no longer a flagship? This is why Android will always have issues competing with Apple. It's a flagship processor or bust mentality in the android world.

People tend to forget that there is far more to an SOC than just cpu and gpu performance. Moden-RF quality for example, is an area where, honestly, the A13 and its associated Intel RF components are likely not just behind the current 865 (let alone the 865+) but probably the 855 too.
It's no coincidence that Apple is once again partnering with Qualcomm in this regard. Rumour has it this just until Apple has their own in house solution ready to go, whether that will then be comparable with Qualcomm's best, we'll just have to wait and see

If you try hard enough you can find an RTX 2070 around 400$.
But you have to forget about playing Ultra and High setting for some games.

Games in phones isn't like games in PC.
You just can't compare between 2 different SoC and here people are arguing both with different SoC and OS.
Because Even with the Max setting the game renders differently for different SoC. And In iOS the game is written differently.
So, as iPhone is pretty graphics capable which everyone knows, possibly the game developers provided better graphics for iOS platform. That could be a reason iPhone devices not to hit over 60fps in PUBG(I also don't know if this claim is true).
What I'm saying is, mobile game developer optimize the game to run on different SoC differently.
So, with game FPS you shouldn't measure the performance.
To do comparison, you need to use benchmark which suggest to do cross platform because some benchmark might be written in advance Language which is different for iOS and Android. The benchmarks which are written in Machine language are cross comparable.
Phonebuff does a pretty well real world speed test. You guys can check his videos on youtube.
Gary's(AndroidAuthority) Speed Test G is also a good way to measure true performance.

Just don't compare smoothness, Speed, fluidity, between android and apple chips, all are almost same.
Just one thing gaming performance, and true Qualcomm chips still are somewhat behind apple.

Sorry but have ever built a PC? Because if you are spending 1000 on a motherboard it better come with quantum computing. Some of the best motherboards at MOST cost about 350 euros, and that isn't even needed. The Gigabyte X570 AORUS ELITE WIFI ATX AM4 Motherboard cost 300 and it one of the best motherboards out there. I can't even find any motherboards that are around 1000. Please read before you post your comment. I was able to find many builds around 600 euros that are on par with a PS4, i'm not saying its bad but with a pc you don't need a RTX 2070 to get PS4 quality.

Qualcomm keeps on fooling customers with useless "incremental upgrades" by overclocking chips. I bet an SD 835 performs just as well. C'mon. people don't game all day. And people are keeping their phones even ~5 years in some cases. QC should smell the coffee and realize people want phones which are 1. Reliable 2. Good call quality 3. Good cameras 4. Good internet connectivity. Most mid range phones satisfy these requirements.
As far as Android is concerned, only the vanilla Mi 10 comes close to a flagship matching Apple. And only Xiaomi provides Android version updates for years and years. As for Samsung, the fact that the Galaxy A51 (not the S series) is the phone to achieve Android greatness speaks volumes about peoples' priorities.

A13 bionic- 120fps in gfx 3.1 Manhattan
Snapdragon 865- 87 fps in gfx 3.1 Manhattan
May be Snapdragon 865plus may hit 95 fps...
I mentioned offscreen benchmarks because terms like screen refresh rate, optimization don't matter here...thats all I want to say...more idiots are here trolling simply without a point
