A very good move UK. This brand tends to have lots of allegations over the year and every country should take this action despite considering their cost effectiveness.

S Yu, 14 Jul 20202-3 times more expensive? lmfao? Have you seen the bids of ... moreYes,2-3 times,in some countries possibly even more, like, say,Australia last year. All contracts were signed and practically closed, then a misterious call came from a certain orange dude from D.C. who stopped the deal. How can you be so naive to think that anybody can outbid world's biggest 5G network hardware manufacturer?A year ago both Nokia and Ericsson admitted they're (way) behind Huawei, but suddenly with the help of orange dude everything's changed??Right.Last week Nokia admitted their CPU,the brain that powers 5G hardware was a big fail,(BBC,Reuters..), and admitted Huawei's chip is way better, more functional, much more energy efficient and much cheaper. Both Nokia and Ericsson have few factories in China, but most of their network tech is produced in Europe(Poland,Estonia,Finland,Sweden),some even in the US.You really think that qualified workers in those countries will work for $2/h,like in China? So,how can these Europe companies outbid "communist" Huawei??Ask orange muppet..Chinese banks are financing a (largely) state owned company, that's your biggest issue?Apple and Google financing Congress,Senate and Orange one to get rid of completion, that's fine? Brilliant....free market, liberal market economy, democracy...whatta joke...

Anonymous, 14 Jul 2020You might as well stop using Anroid, Apple, Windows, Linux ... moreIt'll be better if we do that ( stop the use of core US tech ) together. Only then it will make a difference.

China should ban sales of any telecommunications equipment, smartphones and any parts which may be used in equipment or sold to US/UK. Let them produce smartphones themselves, people already pay mortgage on everything, add there smartphones 5k a piece.

Sandro Linux, 14 Jul 2020What has Huawei done wrong? This is not a way to make the U... moreHuawei has done nothing wrong its the origin they belong to a communist country and laws are their by which they can access the information that huawei gathers from other other country.Their are other brands such as nokia erricson and samsung that can also provide 5g but the innovation that huawei have in the feild of 5g is huge

Yet another bad decision by the UK government. Their security services have been working with Huawei for 20 years and have found no reason to prevent the deployment of their equipment to date. Why this arrangement was not continued seems to be purely political in supporting the commercial vandalism of the USA. Hopefully China will retaliate and stop supporting major US companies like Apple, HP, Google and Amazon with their efficient manufacturing facilities until they stop the bullying of Huawei and ZTE because they invest more and develop better technology than their US competition.

What a great move by UK.
China is seriously a pain in everybody's arse.
And I'm seeing in the comment section that many agents are trying hard to show that China is cute and innocent.
Lol
They don't know what will China do next if it is not stopped.
