Hopefully all 3 models will have the same sp... moreThere fully is a crowd of us...still waiting for someone to stop neglecting us and give us a flagship compact phone with a good-sized battery for a good price. Sony did this really well. I loved my Sony Xperia Z3 Compact. Only it falling into a lack sadly was the end of it and that was after the back shattered when it slipped onto the floor ¬_¬ It was still a very competent phone and it had a headphone jack too. Fast, powerful with good if not great battery life. Easy to use and even had great themes with it. Sony just needs to market stronger. Literally copy Samsung with that and stop with the crazy pricing also.

The maximum size of a compact phone is 4.8 inches.
What I expect, unfortunately, is that only the name of the phone will meet the definition of compact.

Yes! I missed out on the XZ2 Compact and ended up with a subpar and oversized phone, so count me in for the 2021 Compact.

dario, 07 Aug 2020very good, my xz1 compact died in 2019 and i was forced to ... moreI still have it since 2018. The screen is partially damaged (brownish area), don't know why. And vibration is not working properly. Happy that I have 3 years of guarantee. A small resistant beast.

very good, my xz1 compact died in 2019 and i was forced to buy a samsung s10e. Which by the way has a brilliant camera. but it's full of samsung bloatware. I want sony compact back, I want battery care, I want clean Android and all other features. just make a good camera please.

I am using Sony Bravia.. Led. Music HiFi system. Digital still Camera. VAIO SERIES NOTEBOOK & Xperia z5.., now posting this comment from Xperia XZ1dual.. I m REALLY MISSING NEW LAUNCHES IN MOBILE N NOTEBOOKS.
Nowadays everyone rejecting Chinese Brands.. N they r realizing now.. What ethical business SONY was doing once upon a time... Pls come back to India & grab huge market share specially in Xperia n VAIO notebook.

I'm a fan of sony compact but I'm not sold with sony's 21:9 aspect ratio so I planned on getting the s10e. I think the s10e is the best compact phone you can get but i switched to the galaxy note 10. The squarish design makes it look like an xperia and it felt compact in the hand. It's a bit taller than s10e. I can use the note 10 with 1 hand use but not so comfortable. I wish it's a tad slimmer so i can grip it well. Makes me think that maybe a 5.5" or 5.8" 21:9 ratio from sony would be a better compact phone in today's standard. Sony please do it and make the phone thicker to accommodate bigger battery.

cool... i'm a compact phone fan and owner of a great sony compact. But it's getting old with 4 years already, and i don't want to buy a chinese brand, and samsung decent phones are too big for my preference. So bring it on!!!

Soo... is Xpreia 5 II still in the works for this year, or cancelled now with it being next years compact instead?
I'm confused, as I was really looking forward to buying the 5 II this year..

Look its simple.
Sony increase your OS updates to 5-7 years.
Release 3 flag ships.
Large, med and small sizes.
Do this each year at the beginning of q4.
Reduce the price each year of the previous years models.
2 year down the line, your Flagship now is a mid, and two more years its a low end.
Reduced manufacturing cost as only designing 3 per year.
Reduced hardware costs as committing to buy x chipsets, screens and other parts for a 5 year term.
Naming easy, Sony Xperia 21/21C/21M
next year 22/22c/22m
Job done.
True compact for those with less room in our trousers.(True compact is not about screen but actual size

Compact yes! Do you know how many we are who wants a compact? At ebay an old ugly xz2 compact are more expensive than a new experia 5! My compact is broken, my husbands compact are broken, last week we gave up waiting for a new compact and bought experia 5, and now a read this. For how long do I have to wait?

I wish sony releases some of its flagship xperia models like 10 mark2, xperia 1 mark2 etc to India??
I am a Sony user from past 20years.. Using Sony from its Walkman, cyberahot and xperia's. And I am sure, people who used Sony, know what it is.
Apart from this, a sample lot for India can definatley let Sony understand the need.
