And no Google ban didn't do shite since the Epic Store can be downloaded from the Fortnite website... XD

Epic signed the contact about in-app purchase and Epic violated it, Epic got kicked out, Epic files a lawsuit about "Monopoly" and claims it is fighting for all developers.

Bogdan, 14 Aug 2020It's funny how people think that the bad guys in this ... moreAnd where do you think the cost for those 30% goes? To the consumers the moment they pulled the plug Epic cut prices for in game currency by 20% also the issue is most severe with the iPhone where there is NO WAY TO DOWNLOAD A APP ANYWHERE BUT THE APP STORE! With Android the issue is not as bad but still bad there is multiple hoops which causes the average user to be frustrated... The only options I see is if Epic makes its own phones or makes the game Android exclusive, do I have to mention how bad that is now that Apple cuts of x86 for their MACs? That = no Steam & no epic games, stuff on the next MACs if it wasnt bad enough that the MAC would have had only the mobile ARM version now it has nothing! :I

iRajApple, 14 Aug 2020I see Apple and Google reducing the 30% they charge to 15-20%It can never be percentage, only they can license the Software Development tool. When the developers make loss, Apple & Google wont take 5% or 30% on that isn’t? For the developers, it is beyond App Development, they need to provide services, support their operation, pay for servers, Infrastructure, tool license etc...Using a car to reach Bank to withdraw $1 million and the car company asking 30% cut for using their car. Highway robbery

Anonymous, 14 Aug 2020Apple. The device is licensed to you, not sold.Only the Software is licenses and the device is owned by the buyer without any restrictions other than voiding warranty. They only control the distribution of software in your device through App Store. You don’t play $2100 as in our region for fun!

iRajApple, 14 Aug 2020I see Apple and Google reducing the 30% they charge to 15-20%For merely providing the platform they can’t charge 30% especially Apple which sells iPhones & iPads already on very high margin and charge developers annual subscriptions. They can license their development tool if they want for developing the App but cutting 30% on revenues without taking any business risks, operational, financial, regulatory risks even your own business partner cannot ask for 30% on the revenue, lazy & easy highway robbery imo, not sustainable for the developers, especially if they run an established business.

Anonymous, 14 Aug 2020Epic ain't happy when you violate their T.O.S but they... moreIt's funny how people think that the bad guys in this situation are Google and Apple, when really the bad guys are Epic. It's easy to see, that they are just trying to cut a better deal with Google and Apple.
Not saying that Google are Apple are angels, but in this case is easy to see who is the bad guy. Epic should have opened normal discussions, not making this type of forced approach.
But, then again, one should only look at the majority of game developers, to see how greedy they have become.

Anonymous, 14 Aug 202030% is a lot especially as the app is only in the store and... moreBut let say no one buy their apps anymore so Apple won't even get the 30% but they still have to host the app, take care of the bandwidth for people who redownload it, scan it and whatever other costs Apple still have to incur. Apple has to take all these into account and bear the costs for the developer.
