Under Trump, everything is going down the drain. America will be on the losing end if this continue. Huawei is having it tough for a while but not for long now.

I think it woll only make Huawei and China stronger in the long run
Remember China became a Power because years ago they only relied of their own technology and production now they are being forced to do the same, maybe in a few years Chinese will now have their own SoC company and current figures have shown that Huawei continues to rise in China and even became No.1 by relying only on the domestic market
While on the other hand if assembling of US goods move outside of China to US than prices will increase significantly because labor is cheap in China and expensive in US and no OEMs won't reduce their profit margins and if proces become too high I don't think US citizens will continue to buy US products

J. , 18 Aug 2020Mention those company Chinese lover.
If you love so much China, just go and live there for 1 month, see if you like it as a foreigner. If you are already there, good, stay there.
I don't hate China, and I am sure not loving America (I live in Central European country), but if I had to pick between China and America, I will definitely pick America.
And regarding China banning companies, why do you think there are no global social apps there? Because China wants to control its people. Is similar to North Korea but a little more "democratic", to look good for business with the western markets.

[deleted post]Yes it was like that initially when US corporations benefited immensely with total abuse of labour laws to produce at dirt cheap rates turned blind eye when it was convenient, but now stealing IP slogan doesn’t cut ice since Chinese outsmarted West in all tech innovations by miles (hate to admit as a strong critic of CCP and PLA). Now Western corporations in the process of losing their brand equity and total domination of Chinese innovative tech at all levels(entry to luxury). Easy option for the Socialistic Capitalists is banning them. I mean China was no different either they totally banned Google, Facebook, WhatsApp etc...both are doing the same to each other

If anything, their earlier decoupling efforts look very reasonable now. Imagine a superpower wannabe that can be threaten with US app blackout anytime a trade war is brewing.

AnonD-945200, 18 Aug 2020it is a necessary action from usa👍 also ban all chinese ap... moreChina restricted some US companies' sales in China. But it did not stop its companies from supplying to US companies. Neither did it stop other countries from supplying to US companies. And it certainly did not pressure other countries to stop buying US made stuff.
FYI, even imports of Canadian aluminum are now considered a 'national security threat' to the US, just to justify new tariffs.
Read today's news on the Trump administration's decision to open up the Arctic wildlife refuge in Alaska for wildlife drilling. Read this in the context of Trump's pullout from the Paris accord. And think of the consequences for your children.

Google, facebook, and Twitter and other platforms and messenger services are BANNED by the GREAT FIREWALL of china - run by the china government, funded by Chinese tax payers' money. Internet doesn't have boundaries, people can still visit websites that don't have servers or operations in China had there been no censorship.
China doesn't have leverage here.
