Nvidia is now new Intel. Behemoth in technology industry as Arm processors soon will replace aging x86. So very huge move for Nvidia. Hope it will not monopolize too much of the industry

abhi, 14 Sep 2020would there be a US government behind this deal?Be sure of that. They need to bring something inside for "security" reasons. Like Cisco. And others from USA.

Some how, I don't think this will happen or good for ARM. Nvidia never had any good history of buying other firms. And they don't give any credit to any of the technology they use or improve from any of their acquisition.

And while it's still slacking behind, AMD will announce the next Ryzen gen in less than a month.

AMD has better CPU price\performance and are built on better lithograph process. They have good VGAs and is filling the gap with Nvidia. Regarding SoCs for smartphones, Mediatek makes pretty good chips, you should check it. Huawei has good chips too. Qualcomm is the leading manufacturer but others are catching up.

I'm highly suspicious whether there is any connection between this news and Samsung gettting 7bn USD deal from Nvidia.
There will be protest against this deal.
Now the question is, Will Samsung join the protest or remain calm ?

Anonymous, 14 Sep 2020Intel CPU and Nvidia GPU for PC. Snapdragon chipset for sma... moreIntel? Durable? 😂🤣😂😂🤣😂😂
You must be from Sandybridge era. 😂😂🤣😂
245 disclosed security vulnerabilities at hardware level (against 16 from amd and even less from ARM) in the past 2 years. Some of these can't even be patched, and the available patches severely reduce the performance.
Years of milking due to absence of competition from amd resulting in stagnancy of consumer cores (below $500 processors) at 4 cores. Remember Kabylake?
Nvidia releases 3070 as something faster than 2080Ti at a fraction of it's price despite the absence of competition from amd.
Can you expect anything like that from intel?
Recurrent socket change without any real addition of features is also something that we see with intel.
Durability😂🤣😂
