One cannot simply put a cable into a PC and transfer files, one cannot get apps outside their region without being tormented or get apps from a 3rd party source. Q3 it's propably something like 5 million. And even most of that are Cheap old Huawei phones which still have GMS services. People who buy new Huawei phones for google hatred is propably 0,10%.

Huawei sales are only boosted by China sells.Having high population in one country doesn't mean you compete globally.Huawei or Xiaomi has no power anywhere else.

it would be really interesting to see the distribution on countries / continents. it is well-known that the chinese people buy out of national pride and this automatically add to chinese brands, especially huawei. market share. and a 1.4 billion people market means quite a bit...
something else not shown in the stats: prices vs numbers. it is one thing to sell 1milion cheap units and a completely other deal to sell 500k medium/top 3-4 times more expensive units.

if terms of functionality would be deciding factor, Nokia with symbian would be number one. But i understand it's a hard concept for android boy to understand that the company have longest feature list isn't winning. It's lot more important to get those most important things work very well, that's why Apple is winning, they know how to make features user friendly.

As usual insecure bitter android boys are all over the place.
People who want best of the best buys iPhone. Apple owns over half of over $400 phones in the market. That tells a lot. People just don't see value of android flagship phones anymore. I guess they got brainwashed enought times already and not falling the same paper specs stuff anymore. It's funny how we still have few of them in these comments sections when world have moved on a long time ago already.

The biggest thing right now is 5G or faster internet speeds. Which is basically the 4G evolution we saw a decade ago. I’m fine with that, but let’s not pretend like there are massive innovations happening in this space anymore. Smartphones have become an appliance.
