well ho can they the realy dont have the skill or talent to do it poor Lg thank god for fop and cyogen cm9 and cm10 will come to black all black users once stable ver of cm9 or cm10 pls update from there

This is such a sad and bad news to us xperia users... ics update was full of bugs and its only natural for a good company to correct those bugs thru JB update... unfortunately Sony isn't.. so Goodbye Sony forever!

It was sure that 2011 Xperias won't get a JB update. They have to promote 2012 models and Xperia S, P and U probably will get it.

At least Windows Phone 8 guaranteed at least 18 months of updates. They went from Windows CE kernel to Windows NT kernel. They aren't going to change to another kernel any time in the near future. WP8 should get updates for long time. All the current Windows Phone are running latest WP7.5 and they all will get WP7.8

too many handsets models from many makers with HARDSELL promises of some FUTURE PROOFING UPDATES and MANY NETWORKS CARRIERS WITH OWN PROFITS AGENDAS --HENCE too many bad services ..too many false promises and false excuses and helpless customers paying HIGH PRICES..and APPLE monoply in cellphones and ipads has been challenged hence TOO MANY apple patents lawsuits ... customers helpless amd shortchanged ..AND UK MPS GET FREE GOVT IPADS TO PLAY AROUND.. THIS 2012 and we should have been watching LONDON olympics on ipads and tablets on 3G instead of home wifi-- WATCH OLYMPICS ON TV --BIGGER BETTER ..what did u say ? pardon ? all shall be well in 2020 ?? ok then ..anyway 2020 can be fast tracked ? why cant cellphones be simple as a TV ..switch on and oh la la !!

Guys, I know that current Lumia series won't get wp8, but at least they don't lie to users. They say how things stands and that is it! I'm not mad at Sony because of not getting JB... I'm frustrated because of LG's lying idiots!

I was a SE/Sony Fanboy. I had some SE smartphones with Android, but they are so "unloving" with us and with de Android philosophy that know I'm a Samsung Galaxy s III owner ! I hope that they treat me better !

Even though Jelly Bean looks more opotimised than ICS, I don't blame Sony. ICS was too laggy on the 2011 lineup and they didn't want to spend time updating again when they are busy realeasing some new ...dualcore phones.
But, what a shame for LG.

Though, Xperia S will get someday the Jelly Bean update after the ICS one. The article is about Xperia ARC/ARC S and the rest of the 2011 lineup.
