2011 Xperias won't get Jelly Bean, no ICS for Optimus 2X and Black

A shame really, personally I would never buy a new phone every year (so no "lost sale" from my side if they supported their 1year old devices).
But with this policy they can rest assured that, when it inevitably comes the time to replace my phone, I will be avoiding them (along with the other manufactures who fail in this regard).
My advice to anyone seeking to buy a new Android phone is to either buy a Google phone (their Nexus line) or first *carefully* check the support list for the Official Cyanogenmod versions (and read all the caveats --for each phone-- as to what is supported and what isn't).

Why would you buy an optimus L7 (with ICS) if you can buy, or upgrade you current optimus 2X or Black to ICS, so... no ICS to that lineup haha, LG = FAIL

Damn u Sony! Just bought Arc S and ICS was very buggy and slow, and now u said that no JB for Arc S. Go to hell Sony. This was my first and last Sony phone.

And the cool thing is he's running it on tablet mode, only thing is the 4" screen seem too small for that.

Just called the same. See, the IOS6 for IP5 isn't going to be the same as for 3G/3GS.
I can live without ICS and Jelly Bean. For me Android got perfected with 2.2.
Still it should be easier to swap OS:es on a Android. So one could test all those free ROMs that are out there. As it works today is not acceptable...

see.... ths android problem.... look iphone 3gs stll getting update ios6.. most android device did not get update... than fan boy like u all alwys said tht android is batter.. yes is batter for customisation not like apple... so thnk about if u want alwys up-to-date buy iphne not any android device... if not jst accpt it don be like noob,talk shit... hahahaha... so long android fan~

Sony mobile communications sucks! my lww never hangs before (in 2.3.4). but now (in 4.0.4) it hangs, restarts and lags in call logs and dialpad! and the notification led is worse! atleast give the option to revert back to 2.3.4/ what is the purpose of the ics sh*t now!? to decrease the performance?

I'm glad I got ICS on my xperia pro. The big update. I don't really feel abandonned by sony for a minor update.

I have contacted thrice LG last week regarding ICS update for O2x and they replied me via email that O2x will get ICS update in September and now i am reading this news? I can post email reply of LG

I think it's not Tegra 2 problem because Sony F800 Series players come in 8 GB, 16 GB and 32 GB models and are all powered by NVIDIA's Tegra 2 dual-core processor and run on Android 4.0 (ICS).
