The second part funnily is incorrect too. The LG Prada (one of the newest phones), released with Gingerbread, got it's update to ICS meanwhile. Quite a small bit before 2015 I'd think.

Hence, many games run slower or do not run at all. Being the Play a phone made for gamers, Sony made the right choice in choosing to preserve the user experience and not update to ICS.

2x has hundreds of ics rom's but don't ever buy another lg or tegra, dont ever buy bread or toilet paper either for whatever reason only known to you :D

This is what i Really disklike about android!
I get no update buying 1. maximum 1 update for a phone? sometime get none. piss off. so much bugs left behind.

If you look at android the apps from firstly from google, then to the OEM's then to the the carriers. It mostly get messed up somewhere down that chain and it is somewhat understandable that android has 1000x different configurations.
WP on the other had comes right from windows iirc and it has 1 Soc 1 set standard but still we see the same issue with winmob6.5 -> 7. Few years down the line when they release 9 ohh look no current phone cant support it.
Finally if you worry for updates on android get a google phone, rumor has it there will be 5 this year 1 from every OEM which will let users have a choice of a lot of phones with the latest OS.

well some moderators said in sony mobile forum, that sony devs are still busy with the ics updates (esp. XS, XP, XU XSola).
so just wait sony hq's respond, as they said there'll be a post in their blog, implying the 4.1 update.
