Look at AMD:
12nm to 7nm = almost 20% performance boost
7nm to 7nm+(process tweaks) = almost 20% performance boost
Look at Intel:
14nm to 10nm = 20% performance boost.
Now granted, intel released only mobile 10nm chips, but their 10nm is roughly TSMC 7nm.
Look at NVidia
14nm to 8nm = 60% performance boost
Apple
7nm to 5nm = 5%

Chinese manufacturers optimize for the best scores on antutu, thus they score higher. Apple doesn't care about these benchmark scores.
Antutu is even bad at measuring improvements, because if there is no RAM increase, antutu ranks the increase a lot worse than it actually is.
They themselves say cross-platform comparison isn't accurate. Yet you ignore that. Why? It's understandable. All apple haters will look at the small details and complain and complain and complain. It's just their nature.
Direct cpu performance is generally a better benchmark then the slew of uncountable factors that impact antutu. This is because different factors have different effects on the speed of a smartphone, and mashing them together is inaccurate in measuring speed.
And antutu loves claim we don't have any reasoning to back up our claims.
