80W is pretty hype but I want to see efficiency numbers, how much of it is lost to heat and at what rate it deteriorates the battery.

Not just a standard lithion ion battery. So maybe do your research and you'll realise they are changing accordingly to suit the charging speeds.

Super fast charging, fast screens, superzoom or 8K, jack are available more in mid range than hi end. Talk about overprice of some brands, great phones xiaomi!

Xiaomi caring what happens to their products once they sell them? You must be from another planet. Those batteries would be degraded by 20% within a year. 50% within 2 years. That is basic physics and battery chemistry. And no chinese slideware research is going to change that. You get what you pay for.
Not saying they don't know what is the impact - this is known and understood very well, but it is a positive ans welcome outcome - you need a stimulus to buy a new phone next year.

2 weeks warranty on the battery? Yeah, sounds legit. Instead of making it faster and faster on charging, then gives us slow charging and battery life for days.!
At first, phones came with a huge powerbank to survive the mobility. Now in the future, phones still needs to be connected to a powerbank/source all the time. Unless the phone is only used as what Nokia 3310 delivered back then.

For your understanding your battery will be alive after few years without problems.
Mi11 Pro/Ultra will be a beast.

Pretty sure you are stuck at 18W charging.
