It will be a win-win for consumers who are open and looking for new alternative; and for us developers who really want to earn more cause Apple and Google cut a ton of percentage - moneywise.

      If you want a Mate 40 model and with the US Google spy scam, XDA made the Googlefier app which can help you get all the GSM stuff (few days ago).

      Personally i miss a new OS and don't want to support the Truummpp regime at all.

        I think the problems is a lot of people including myself are already invested in the Google ecosystem, so to make us give it up, Huawei would have to present an offer we could not refuse (which they don't seem interested in doing) or at least allow people to chose for themselves (unlock bootloader, which again they don't seem interested in doing).

        For people who don't use Gmail, Maps, Chrome, Passwords Sync etc I'm sure it does not matter but it's hard to find such people in the west.

They're not listening to is techies anymore. The 7 Pro/7T Pro was Oneplus's best design (despite the lack of headphone jack and the curved screen).

                I still stand by what I said. Huawei will succeed in China but they blew it on the global side of things IMO.

                  I'm very happy with my Mate 30 Pro 5G with Google Services installed since December, 2019.

                  No needs to change to Mate 40.

                          For everyone who loves of ideas living without Google, how many of you really own and use Huawei phone without GMS as main phone? I dare you.

                          People here keep talking Huawei no GMS is fine, is good, but the fact is, their main phone is something else!

                          To whomever said he/she doesn't need GMS, like the person who said only use Youtube, yeah, he/she might be someone who never has a life. Seriously, unless you live in China, there's so many apps that you use everyday depends on Google services, not just Google apps themselves.

                          I agree Huawei makes some great flagship phones, there's no denying on that. But without a living ecosystem to support them, they're dead in the water.

                                It is not just demand them to do it.

                                  I picked up the mate 30 pro almost a month ago because it was really cheap compared to the ones I've been seeing. Living without google is challenging.

                                  I'm mad that Huawei makes such good phones but they can't even be used because of the issue with the US and China. Huawei the only android company, that I'm aware of, that offers 3d face unlock.

                                  Anyways, mate 40 looks nice.

                                      As far Huawei still release Phones I will continue to choose the one i can afford among them...But to be honest the price is quit high this time around.... i feel after some months the price will reduce....i dont care about Google service... I only want quality and something that will last for a long time without issue, Huawei is the best in that category....No brands make perfect Phones and give u everything you want in a Phone..... Huawei is the best for me!!!

                                        For me the app situation isn't a problem as I always manually update my apps from third party sources. But the lack of bootloader unlock is.
                                        I generally keep Google Play services frozen unless required and always behind a firewall.
