Ok - sounds good. But we don't know any spec or details. So how does Xiaomi the miracle? Bigger zoom = larger lens; more light = larger lens; bigger sensor = larger lens. And don't expect ultrawide and tele lens in one camera.

I hope xiaomi implemented this new tech in xiaomi mi 11 ultra.

So we are now going full circle..

        First it was one camera

        Then multi camera

        Now back to one camera

Interesting, but this doesn't really make it clear what exactly they are doing and within what range. So let's wait for more info before we get too excited. Zoom lenses are usually inferior to fixed ones so I don't know what "20% sharper" really means here.

Xiaomi Good hardware; poor software. The software is what makes a good phone experience not with xiaomi. You will be disappointed with Xiaomi software policy which I think is planned insolence.

this is extra, finally the phones will look normal without so many ugly cameras

*But there are many places for electromagnetic actuations :
The "Reflex mirror" is tilting and can be electromagnetically actuated.
*The pop up itself that come with this doesn't need any sensor inside, it just require to be another 90° prism, so the bottom of the pop up "pit" is transparent, and the pop up itself is electromagnetically actuated and held in both (up and down) places with regular magnets, like the Mi Mix 3's body, removing any moving parts appart from the pop up prism itself.
*The second rotating prism is the obvious place to put OiS which often is electromagnetic too.

No thanks. I bought a real camera instead of a phone without software support, ads and a tiny sensor and lens.

Like the guy who wrote this article :
                        https://www.phonearena.com/news/Dear-phone-makers-STOP-putting-macro-cameras-on-phones_id125834
He did take pictures that are the good distance for regular close up, but like light years too far to be considered Macro, and he say the Macro is bad...

I have never been in a situation where a Ultra-Wide would have done a better job than me just requiring to take some step backs, and there is a LOT of times where I have been in situations where I really could have used optical magnification.
And though the best would be to have a Zoom lens, many peoples don't realize that "Zoom" don't mean magnification but actually refer to a lens that have continuous focal length change from higher to lower than Ultra-Wide/Standard without reaching Ultra-Wide or Telephoto.

But my concept (in the link in the previous comment) is better as it allow to go really into Extreme-Wide and Super-Telephoto while allowing hardware Portrait and Macro at the expense of taking a bit more internal space.

But in the last years there were some bad reviewers who didn't understand that the purpose of a tele lens is NOT the smaller field of view, but the increase in details. Of course you can not really see any advantage at 2x with a Full HD screen as Full HD only has 2 megapixels and 2x digital zoom has still 3 effective megapixels. One needs to look at pixel level (or pinch to zoom afterwards), but many reviewers don't seem to understand that.

With the use of Samsungs garbage, inferior, sh*tty, low-tier exynos chip they can kiss all their photography skills goodbye. The garbage exynos chip will ruin all post-processing.
