If you just share the video online then the phone automatically converts it to SDR.

That's why iphones do have great dynamic range in videos cause the cpu doesn't need to power up a huge sensor compared with 1/2.0", 1/1.7", 1/1.33" and 1/1.28" sensors. They are big so cpu can't do processing power like iphones do. A14 is as powerful as kirin 9000 but because of the larger 1/1.28" sensor the video quality will not be good as iphones 1/2.55" sensors.

Does the Apple iPhone version of Dolby Vision support hdr10 TVs? You mentioned that discs have to be mastered with backwards comparability but not if the iPhone version has backwards comparability straight out of the camera.

Not all sensors can do it, most cannot do beyond 4K@60.
Also, We do not know if A14 has support for 4K@120 like Snapdragon 865/865+.

960 fps is supposed to slow down that particular moment unlike 120fps or 240fps videos.
You don't even understand use case scenarios of the same.
You'll be going GA GA over those once you get it on your iPhone.

You should have lead with, is the camera hardware in mobile phones good enough to take real advantage of these extreme dynamic ranges? No. They're gimmicks.
Dolby selling hifis like it's 1985 again.
Not surprised to see Apple focusing so hard on this gimmick. It's always been their thing. Sell the brand name when the competition has all the tech. This, in the tech business.
