DxOMark tests iPhone 12 Pro, gives it slightly higher score than last year's model

If you just read it as a camera review it is very useful as it is still probably the most comprehensive of phone camera reviews and at least more reliable than many youtube reviews. Anyone can focus on the categories that are important to them rather than the final score.

You can't compare cameras by a single number like that. There is a reason manufacturers have gone back to 12Mpx; it's about the limit of resolution of a lens that fits into a phone.

I wouldn't trust DxOMark scoring system. They get paid by the companies to put high scores and the zoom capabilities on the new iphone 12 pro max can't compete with a bunch of android phones that have 5X zoom.

Geez, the butthurt over what score DXOmark awards is embarrassing. When the iPhone X came out people were convinced Apple were paying them off, but since the iPhone 11 it's all become a big conspiracy against Apple because DXOmark didn't give them 9 million points for their last two phones. Have a word with yourselves. Whether the iPhone 12 Pro Max tops the charts or not there will be idiots on either side of the debate moaning about bias and payoffs and conspiracies etc etc. Pathetic.

The iPhone 12 pro max is even more amazing as it’s camera sensor is 47% bigger and the apertures on both phones are F1.6, with a bigger aperture it has more light to work with. You really don’t no anything about photography do you!

The Pro Max at least will score 3-4 points above the Pro.
The main sensor is bigger and it has an improved OIS and telephoto is also a little bit better so it can only improve. Maybe it stays around 132-133 points, around P40 Pro and Mi 10 Ultra. Still, that is excellent. Only Mate 40 Pro above but not by much.

Whatever score they give, if you don't use their algorithm, they rank you low.
DxO is still untrustworthy(pixel 4a=mate 20 x, WTH?)

Why is GSMArena plugging every review from DxOMark? If I wanted to read DxOMark reviews, I'd go there. I am here to read GSMArena reviews.
I hope you guys have not entered into some kind of partnership with DxOMark. I and many others no longer trust the impartiality of their reviews, so....
